  2. I've never quite understood what the fuss over the gowlett's pizzas was. I mean they're nice and all that, but I didn't find them anything special. I used to like the ones the mag did back in it's weird bright yellow days.
  3. El Pibe Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > only a smidgeon over ?6-12 then huh? I haven'#t read most of this thread, and have no idea what you're on about.
  4. I have no problems with any of the characters, think I just over did it. I'm sure if I forced myself to watch a couple of episodes I'd be laughing again, but when I see it on the listings I avoid.
  5. GBK only need two or three customers a night and they've made a profit with their prices! I'm a fan actually, but for two of you to have a burger a drink and share some fries you're talking ?25, which is steep.
  6. I used to love Family Guy, then one day I just couldn't watch it anymore. Dunno why, I think I just had my fill. Brian was the best character though, especially as a double act with Stewie.
  7. I hardly ever go out in Dulwich (or anywhere else for that matter) anymore, so only visited the Draft House for the first (and clearly last) time a couple of weeks ago. I liked it for what it's worth (nothing).
  8. Similar tactics with my daughter sanity girl. You feel evil, but you just have to remind yourself it's making them better.
  9. I can't imagine it being more than a nostalgia trip for old fans. It's not going to break any new ground and win a new generation of fans.
  10. Johnny Rotten made a similar admission about a Sex Pistols reunion. It's just honest. We'll get together and give you what you want to see, and we'll make money for it. Don't think there's anything wrong in that, and they will probably have had very little, if anything to do with setting the prices.
  11. Haven't seen them and wouldn't want to anymore Jah. They're more like a big band than a rock n roll band. I wish I could go back in time and see them before they got too big a stage show but there you go.
  12. My younger daughter is like this. It's a bloody nightmare and you have my sympathy.
  13. They were our first and second choices and we got St Barts. Our daughter seems happy and the teachers seem kind and caring. Not to keen on the head but she's retiring this year anyway. A friend of ours works at Kelvin Grove and rates it. It's improved massively in the last few years. Everyone raves about Eliott Bank but personally I didn't like the feel of the place.
  14. It seems to be like a total kottery in the Dulwich area whatever you put.
  15. On a completely irrelevant note, I went to secondary school with Terry Jones' son.
  16. Can't view it at the moment. How does Penge look?
  17. Terry Jones did say he hoped they'd make a lot of money so he could pay off his mortgage. Maybe he wasn't actually joking. Still, it'll probably be more fun than a Rolling Stones concert, and it's cheap next to some of their tickets!

    Football Focus

That used to really annoy me about a young Joe Cole, he'd always cut in and end up running in to a dead end. When he stopped doing that was when he was at his peak.
  19. It has never been a singing competition!!! Anything that allows the public to vote is nothing more than a personality / cutest looking competition. Even our politics have gone that way, so I think you're expecting a bit too much of the bloody x factor.
  20. I am saying that you are taking it far too seriously! Whoever gives the best performance has absolutely no bareing on who people will vote for.
  21. AM, when she makes a mistake, loads of people go "aw, poor thing" and vote for her.
  22. I left a knife block out once. 4 teenagers were stabbed that night. I felt pretty bad.
  23. What Pickle said.
  24. Damn it I wish I was watching this fight!
  25. 2:11 Get In!!!! Think I'll retire there.
