  1. It is worth noting that some of your kids just won't be A Grade students, wherever you swnd them.

the old thread seems to be knackered (bloody Carnell), so a new thread for the new season. Edit to remove the NEW from thread title
  3. Is it time to start a new one. When I click on it, David C's post is the last one I can see (the one with the Mitchell & Webb vids) but it won't let me scroll lower than that. I opened an earlier page and wrote a post, and although it says "last post by otta", it still isn't showing. I suspect it's time for a new thread, but didn't want to start one without checking.
  4. Haha, I like that one about "we" did this and "we" did that to "you".
  5. I think hog roasts in general are pretty bland and overrated, but they seem mega popular. I just like the crackling. But again, as far as they go, Suzanne Janes has probably done the best one I've tried.
  6. Yeah, I just wish they'd hunt in their owner's bloody garden!
  7. Suzanne James does (or at least has done) hog roasts. My old band played at an event where SJ were doing one. It was good!
  8. They either get run over, killed by a fox, or just fuck off because they don't actually like the stupid human that puts a roof over their head, they just like the food. Cats are evil little shits. One was toying with a nearly dead pigeon in my garden the other day, and my daughter saw. I chased the cat away but the pigeon was knackered. Introduction to death and the harshness of the world for my daughter thanks to the feline bastard! The pigeon managed to get itself to a corner to die quietly, but when the delivery man from Tesco came an hour later, the pigeon had been dragged in to the front garden (from the back). Then when I went out another hour later to deal with the pigeon, it had disappeared. I actually found that a bit disturbing. Think it was too early for the foxes, and am blaming the evil cat.
  9. Croniuts sound absolutely minging!
  10. Cool, thanks for that.
  11. Fare thee well MM, good luck to you. Cornwall is my favourite part of the country (that I've been to) and my nan lives in Devon so that was the go to place for childhood holidays. In many ways I envy you. Oh, and El Pibe is in fact a.k a Mockney. SJ stop trying to steal his thunder! ;-)
  12. Heading to France nid September. Going to submit application for daughter's first passport. Is 5 weeks enough for a standard application?
  13. So, in the end, after 2.5 hours trying to get through to someone who could actually help me, I've stayed with BT because I couldn't be arsed dealing with anyone else. Tuens out, much to my surprise, that call charges were sending my bills way high. We thought it was a phone we hardly use, but it turns out it's 15p to connect a call, and 12p a minute thereafter. WTF!?!?!? Apparently we'd used ?16 in calls since 13th July. So have opted for anytime calls for ?7 a month which has to be cheaper, and unlimited BT Infinity. Have got rid of Vision because if you are an Infinity customer (which I am) and you have a smart TV (which I do), you can watch all the sport live for free on the new app. Costing ?45 a month, not cheap, but still ?40 cheaper than they were going to be taking!
  14. I had Danny The Dog, and was over the moon when my daughter started taking him everywhere. That is until he was left out in the garden and never swen again. I suspect he was brutally raped amd murdered by a local fox. I was genuinely upset.
  15. Yep, I think they thought (because I don't have the best sight) that I'd need something like that to read. Stevie Wonder could read that thing!
  16. Circa 1992/93 (aged 14/15) I'm more worried about that watch!
  17. In all seriousness, that would be quite good for some disabled people. Not being worthy, just professional interest.
  18. I did have one 20 years ago. It was retired after I fractured my skull and it was soaked in claret.
  19. Although I probably started drinking it because Slash was never seen without a bottle. But I do like it a lot. Also took up Marlboro Reds as a teen because Ozzy smoked them.
  20. Mick Mac Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > For Otta...."BT Sports to show the Stevie G. > Testimonial & other LFC friendlies" I can never be arsed watching friendlies.
  21. SJ and DC, I hadn't even noticed DC's post. I was talking about the "save JD for the teenagers and get a nice single nalt" comment. So chill.
  22. Excellent, a bit of drink snobbery. I like Jack Daniels, as well as other bourbons. Would rather a nice bourbon than a lot of "quality" whiskeys that I've tried over the years.
  23. I don't believe in building a team around a player. What happens when said player is injured, suspended, or wants away? Much better to build "A TEAM".
  24. I'm going to go out on a limb. I think Bale will go, and should go. Spurs paid ?7m for him. Theyre now likely to sell for ?80m+. With that miney they could vastly imprive their squad with 3 or 4 quality players. He is one player, if he gets injured for a month or so the impact in Spurs would be significant. If he stays another year his form could drop and you may never get the same sort of money for him again. Cash in, let the diver go and play with Ronaldo, and add more quality to a squad which would have struggled to finish above Liverpool last year without his goals. For the record I feel the same about Liverpool and Suarez.
  25. I'd take that. Would be interesting anyway. What about this 16 year old Arsenal prospect Gedion Zelalem. Looks pretty tasty. http://fourfourtwo.com/blogs/talentspotter/archive/2013/07/26/why-gedion-zelalem-could-be-arsenal-s-new-fabregas.aspx
