  1. 310 large grey metro tiles available.  Light grey with rough edges and beautiful sheen.

Each tile is 7.5cm x 30cm, so total available is 7 square metres.

    See retailer listing here:  https://www.tilesoflondon.co.uk/product/hand-made-ardesia/

Cost £46.30 per square metre - would like £100 for them.   I over ordered and couldn't return them because work was delayed.  I attach a picture of one tile and another of my lovely new bathroom wall.   In reeal life they may be a touch lighter.

    Collection from SE21.

    Please DM if interested.

  2. I am inveterately lazy around exercising, but was feeling my age. Back in November I contacted David to start the weight training I had been told I needed.

Whilst I cannot say that I love exercising as yet, it absolutely is the case that I feel stronger, more flexible and happier with the direction of traffic! David has been patient with me, is always encouraging and positive.

He has also given me a manageable training schedule which even I mostly stick to between our training sessions.

I am really grateful to David for the work to date, and definitely recommend Him to others looking to start or develop an exercise schedule.

  3. My son lost/left his saxophone somewhere either on the 185 bus from Catford to Dulwich Library or around the library once he got off the bus. This was yesterday afternoon between 4 and 5pm.

On the off chance anyone has seen it, could they please DM me.

    Thanks.

  4. I am happy to add my thanks to Andy, who came round at short notice to hang an extremely large mirror and some shelving. A real relief to find someone so helpful and professional. His communication and promptness were especially welcome as the timeframe was so short.
  5. I urgently need a gardener to plant between 30-50 plants in my garden on Friday 22nd May 2015, as well as to mow my lawn ( which is about 70ft x 20 feet?).

I would normally do it myself but cannot this time although I will be on hand. I have to work and the plants really need to go in on Friday. I have a mower and all necessary tools.

I live near Dulwich Park and will be around all day.

    Is anyone able to help?

APologies for the new thread, but I have had no joy from contacting recommended gardeners on the EDF at this understandably busy time of year.

    Thanks.

  6. Hi there

Long shot, but we had 2 locked bikes stolen from outside the Half Moon pub yesterday afternoon at 4pm.

One is my son's beloved red Islabike racer with distinctive new royal blue handlebar tape.

The other is husband's black Cannondale road bike.

Am very annoyed as the adult bike is used for commuting every day.

Reported to police who logged it. Have also looked on Bikeshd and Gumtree. Any other ideas what to do to try and track them down?

And please do PM me if, on the off chance, you see/are offered either.

    Thanks.

  7. My 11 year old son, having pestered me into buying the wretched game for our computer, has moved on to relentlessly trying to persuade me to buy "mods" for it - I believe they modify the basic game.

There seem to be endless options offered on line and I worry about what I am downloading onto my (iMac) computer.

I wonder if someone could either confirm they are all pretty safe or tell me where I can find safe downloads to appease him because I am most definitely the meanest mother in his class.

  8. We have been to the Turquoise Coast each year for the past 5 years and off again this year in May. Always to the same place, a village inland a little from the sea, so cooler but still accessible to the beach. Younger son was 6 months old when we first went and no ill effects or illness to date.

We eat well, love the variety of beaches, romp around over ancient ruins and keep going back!

  9. Whilst I always feel diffident about making recommendations in case everyone hates my favourites, the top choices for (my) 5 year old are:

    1. Ottoline ("Ottoline and the Yellow Cat" then "Ottoline goes to school") by Chris Riddell - slightly more complex text than lots of picture books and fantastic detailed pictures. Am currently waiting for the third installment "Ottoline Goes to Sea".

    2. The Gaskitt family books by Allan Ahlberg - "The cat who got carried away", "The woman who won things", "The man who wore all his clothes" and " The children who smelled a rat" - great sequential stories

    3. The Magic Faraway Tree by Enid Blyton if you can get over how ghastly she was. Great stories which are perfect bedtime length and mine don't seem to miss the pictures - good for comprehension.

    I love them all!
