  1. Almost new. Size XL.
  2. Since when did car drivers become 'entitled'? For goodness sake. For the record I am a cyclist, walker and driver, probably in that order. I fully agree and support 20mph speed limits on residential roads and can see the safely concerns. However I cannot support a blanket restriction to encompass pretty much all roads in South London. Roads need to work for ALL users. That is why there needs to be differentiation between main roads, of which the South Circular is the best example, and residential roads. It's the key main road in the whole of South London. North London has the benefit of the dual North Circular which helps get to places quickly - it's 50 mph! We don't have similar but the dropping from 30 to 20 is a big mistake and impacts businesses as well as London residents. It now takes forever to get out of East Dulwich and this has got considerably worse since the introduction of 20mph. There needs to be balance.
  3. 20 mph on South Circular road - totally ridiculous
  4. Near the loos. Did this really need to happen?
  5. https://www.mylondon.news/news/south-london-news/lambeth-council-forced-scrap-ltn-31840982 Slightly off topic for which my apologies. Point is though councils like Lambeth and Southwark are initiating schemes and 'improvements' which often go against the wishes of local residents. Whether it's roads, parking or LTNs a lot of money could be saved by not spending budgets for the sake of it. Do they ever do zero based budgeting?
  6. The irony of the name of this festival...
  7. 20 mins on the bus so far from Heber road to BP garage on grove vale. Complete joke.
  8. Yes, paragraph F nails it. But broader than that. A clear summing up.
  9. It's the basic obfuscation of data, biased questions and misleading interpretation that I am referring to. I read the report of the exercise at the time and they totally buried the true responses of the participants! I worked in independent market research for my career so I know what I am talking about. Basic misrepresentation of views. To be clear my comments relate to Southwark council and their adoption of the Dulwich LTN.
  10. Totally agree Rockets. If I'd behaved like that in my job I would have got sacked!
  11. Just come across the thread. I'm pretty frustrated but prepared to put up with some road works by M&S. Not sure they are really necessary and I think the council is spending their budget for the sake of it. However what is incredulous to me is that it seems they are narrowing the main road (Grove Vale) next to the Cherry Tree. Why? This is a (the) major thoroughfare! I was on the bus this am travelling from Heber road to Denmark Hill station. Traffic all backed up. Council - people have jobs, they have to get into the centre of London. If you want to improve the general environment then ok but don't restrict the traffic flow. Insane! Who makes these decisions? (Don't get me started on LTNs).
  12. Saw the bridge today. Tree was cleared and could not see any discernable damage....
