Sadly, your experience seems pretty typical to me. Estate agents must surely be a dying breed. Apart from adding your photos to Rightmove, and setting up a few appointments, what do they actually do? We sold our house last year, over £10k in estate agents fees, for appalling service, rude, patronising, as you said zero proactivity, zero feedback, I was constantly chasing. Just avoid any beginning with W, that would be my advice.

Hi everyone, We recently came across Luis Ivan and his team, and what a great find it was. His business card says tiler, but he offers so much more. For us he: 1. Built bespoke kitchen units 2. Tiled kitchen 3. Tiled outside path (black/red Victorian) 4. Refurbished stair case 5. Refurbished French windows 6. Hung iron gates 7. Rebuilt bespoke garden bench 8. Renovated marble floor 9. Fixed toilet & shower 10. Redecorated a bit Probably a few more bits and pieces I have forgotten, but you get my point. He can turn his hand to anything, and everything is done to the highest standard, very efficient, great attention to detail, real pride in his work. Very reliable, and they always cleaned up after themselves. One thing to be aware of Luis and his team speak Spanish, little English, but with our very basic Spanish, a bit of sign language, and the help of google translate, we did not find this to a problem at all. God forbid anyone builds a skate park in Dulwich park, as that will ruin it for those of us who still value a bit of space to enjoy peace and quiet in the middle of a huge, noisy, crowded, filthy city.

The skate park is foul. It’s an eyesore and also encourages underage drinking and drugs.

We have just acquired a new puppy, 8weeks old. Looking for others in the area with puppies similar age to meet Dulwich, Greenwich, Beckenham after 12 week jab so that puppies can play together a bit, and have a friend to walk with sometimes. Please let me know if you are interested 07972 368 261
