  1. I have been experiencing the same issue. I now have a notice of owner that i am contesting, have wrote to my mp twice but have had no reply. Would y? anyone like to collaborate to take this further as the issue is entrapment. There system is flawed and set up to trap residents, by not functioning effectivly
  2. As much as I can appreciate the frustration of the effect these have on the environment and in terms of pollution, what is not needed is people running up to cars banging on windows, which I myself have experienced when demisting my windows on cold mornings to try to get my children to school and on to work. I have been shouted out while parking on double yellows with my engine off and had someone stop to question me as though they are police to ask why I am parked there although I have a permit to do so.

It is not for people to assume they have the right to do this to people.

In this very unjust society where people are outpriced out of having more economically efficient way of life, that energy and anger should be directed at the policy makers and people who are able to merely pay for their pollution.

  3. I think it comes down to common courtesy and common sense. It is a shared space with rights for all but at the same timeffect. I have had two incidents where a dog has jumped into my pram on my child and also my toddler has had a piece of bread taken out of her hand in by a dog. The reaction from the owner was one that was far from apologetic. If you know your dog does not respond then in busy times keep them close until there is a space to run free. Also I think all need to be mindful of the surrounding and shared space.
  4. hi there the way it works with Southwark council os it puts the money on to your rent account minus the arrears then debits the lesser amount back out of the rent account, basically the balance minus the amount will be sent out to you in a cheque. Its a really odd way to do it but southwark never do anything in a normal fashion................hope it helps
  5. thank you for all the suggestions, my daughter has attended dvis after school club she loved it however now my son is at school that seems as though a bit of a waste of money as I changed jobs to spend more time with my children. I will look at the six form option or parents. Thank you all

  7. Hi all My name is Natalie and I live in 'East Dulwich', I am interested to know if anyone has had any difficulties with communicating with secondary schools in reagards to behaviour issues. I am aware that when difficulties arise there is sometimes problems with parents being labelled especially thoes from single parent families and communication issues come into play. At the moment I would like to see if there are any parents who have any problems in that department to determine if there are support for parents. I would appreciate if you could drop me a message and i will reply asap and i will give further information. Many Thanks.
  8. Hi My lil girl was breech for the whole of my pregnancy and i tried everything to get her to turn as i had planned a home birth, I had acupuncture burning something called moxibustion at my baby toe that didnt work, two ecv's only to book in for a c-section to go into labour only for me to find when she came out her legs were on her shoulders when she was born, which was fine as there was no damage just the position she had grown in. After she was born safe and sound I felt so guilty that she had been turned by the doctors who obviously wasnt very thorough with their checks because they were trying to turn her with her legs on her shoulder and im sure if I went the third time they may of caused damage. Anyway the c-section was fine I recovered very well and didn't have any problems.
  9. hi, mi three year old had night terrors, she had them for around a few months, not everynight, but they involved her getting out of her bed crying and running out of the room at top speed. The first time it happened i nearly had a heart attack and couldnt sleep that night, however got used to it in a way. I spoke to a nursery nurse at my doctors who is fantastic who reaasured me that a lot of children go through it, and she also told me to be aware of certain dvds tv programs because at the same time we are thinking they are watching a harmless dvd, their imaginations are coming alive and certain issues that are raised in certain dvds can be terrifying for a small child ie "bambi" the idea of his mum going away etc. I hope it gets better as quick as it did for us, dont want to speak to soon as she hasnt had one for a couple months now "touch wood". good luck
  10. cherry tree montossori is an absolute terrible place to send a child. My daughter attended when she was just a year and the staff especially the manager who is money grabbing, she never records money and often makes excuses to not give reciepts. My daughter constantly had vomiting although she ia a very healthy child which i put down to not making up her feed correctly. I then every week was told not to bring her back for 3-4 days obviously i still had to pay the riduculous fees. My danghter never really learnt anything fantastic from them as they could not really tell me anything that she had already known. And they were always very dodgy if u turnt up a bit early and would quite often keep parents outside. My daughter came home in nappies two sizes smaller on more than one occasion although i provided nappies and they often lost her possesions. overall nursery from hell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
