My experience with CPZ Visitor parking -we put everything in correctly including the day and date but missed the year- tried talking with the warden as my eighty old dad(just out of hospital)had made a small error.Still got the fine and only waived when we wrote to the MP. The permit fell off another time and because Southwark refused to give confirmation on the phone that we had paid my husband jumped on the towing truck until the police came causing a lot of amusement in the street. Had to get the 200 parking pound fine waived which was a load of hassle. On a day-to-day basis why pay ?120 only park fairly near to your own property?

This closure is also exhasibated with the now permenant closure of the road by Denmark Hill Station that allowed access to Grove Lane. I am not aware of any consultations. Any news?

Thanks for that information- I live twenty meters away in Grove Lane - I wasn't consulted by letter and hadn't read the notice (which as you say is very high up on the tree). I am also surprised that rigorous pruning is being carried out on these in the Summer- shame.

You have free residential street parking at present. If parking becomes more of a pressurised you may end up having to pay. I live in 'zone L' and pay to park on the street- sometimes even near my house. This was meant to benefit residents but obviously it doesn't. The fee started at ?90 rose to ?99 and this year it is ?125.
