  1. thanks everyone, i am appealing as my representation was rejected. thinking of sending copy of my evidence and letters to the leader of the council.

I am disabled and do not have the choice of walking, cycling or public transport. and on the lowest income. a fine is equivalent to my living expenses for a fortnight.

I think i have got enough info to go on with.

    All best everyone

    Annie

  2. I wonder if there is a specific group for this. I got done at the roundabout in College road in may. I hadn't driven that way since before the lockdown and was collecting food and supplies for SDCAS, an essential local charity. My satnav (Google) didn't show any alternative route). I am determined to fight this one. anyone can help me do that?

I would rather donate the #65 to the charity i volunteer for to buy essential groceries for destitute clients!.

I wonder if anyone has successfully fought such a case. My representation has been rejected and i am going to appeal.

    All best

    Annie

  3. As the Day Centre activities at the Copleston centre have been interrupted because of the virus, the SDCAS arenot able to look after clients as they usually do with advice and help with food and essentials. We are able to distribute food parcels at the other day cnetre in Peckham. We distribute 60 to 80 parcels a week and rely on local donations.

For the coming week we need the following:

tins of tomatoes, fish, beans and pulses

    rice, couscous, breakfast cereals

    toiletries :soap, shampoo

    nappies (size 4 and over)

    dates and dry fruit

If you can't contribute food but would like to donate, please use the justgiving link on the SDCAS website.

Please contact me by private message for arrangement to drop off donations.

    All best, keep safe

  4. This saturday is our monthly stall at the Copleston Centre, where you can find a good selection of secondhand books and ads, as well as coffee and cakes.

Copleston Centre, Copleston Road, 10.30 till 12.30

All proceeds go to help with essentials for the clients of the Southwark Day centre for Asylum seekers and Refugees.

Hoping to see you on Saturday.

Please note that the SDCAS are currently in need of nappies (all sizes) as well as shoes for men. Any such donations can be brought to the bookstall on the day, or arrange for collection by replying to this post.

  5. I am about to put my house on the market, after an attempt last year that wasn't conclusive. Over the last 2 years i have got in touch with several, and before settling on one, would like to hear a few more opinions.

I would be interested in your experience and feed back on agents in terms of their coming up with the goods, honest valuations, delivering the terms, straightforward realistic appraisal and descriptions and lack of bullshit.

    Any feedback would be useful.

    thank you

  6. there was about a tenner, two visa debit cards, several loyalty, photos of grandchildren, a driving license. cards have been cancelled. I would very much like to get the wallet back (dark navy leather, colours inside, still some life in it) and the photos and various bits. thank you for getting in touch if you found it, i can pick it up from you and will make a donation to a charity of your choice.
  7. This coming Saturday we shall be offering cheese from Mons, the new cheesemonger on Lordship Lane, as well as our usual feast of excellent books, home made cakes and good coffee.

It is the usual time of 10.30 to 12.30 at the Copleston

    Centre, SE15 4AN.

We hope you will be able to join us in this very worthwhile and enjoyable fundraising venture on behalf of Southwark Day Centre for Asylum Seekers.

    Best wishes
