  1. Our little dude returned home on Monday morning

    Hi there,

Our very lovely but quite timid cat hasn't come home for 24hrs which isn't like him at all.

He is a very handsome neutered ginger male and currently has a small red scab in his right ear where he was in a recent fracas.

He is microchipped and our contact details are all up to date but nothing yet

I can be contacted on 07411956386

    Cheers,

    Jeremy

  2. Good evening,

This little one has been haunting our back door for the past couple of weeks. He or she is very sweet, ravenously hungry, seriously vocal and very thin.

There is no microchip but he/she has a large thyroid gland (I am a vet) which makes the signs most consistent with hyperthyroidism and were worried she has run away and wasn't getting her treatment or the owners were unaware of the problem.

We live on Pellatt Rd and she is our garden between Pellat and Silvester. If anyone is missing this little one or knows who owns her please let us know.

  3. Good morning,

This is an unusual one, about 6-8 months ago our neighbours (who we adore) had some building work done and it seems possibly around this time (honestly though we can't say for sure) a smell of stale urine (human) is working its way through in to our house. We have cats and are happy it isn't cat wee. The smell is coming through the part wall (terraced house) and seems to vent up through cracks in the floorboards. It is generally really unpleasant and got suddenly worse we have asked various people but noone has come up with the go-to person to deal with this problem. Has anyone had issues like this and what did you do in terms of fixing it - Builder? Structural Engineer? We love our neighbours and just want the problem solved.

If you could pm with thoughts that would be great as we are getting pretty desparate now.

    Cheers

  4. Sadly, after the return home of our previous wonderful housekeeper after a number of years we are now looking for a very reliable, hardworking and trustworthy person to help us keep our house in running order.

We are looking for that person who is perfectionist and has the ability to look around and work out what needs to be done and prioritise this while paying attention to details. It is that person that would treat our house and they would treat their own.

The role involes the usual general cleaning duties i.e dusting and cleaning, floors and windows(inside!)washing and ironing. From time-to-time we may ask you to do other errands like picking up dry cleaning, some shopping which is all included in your hourly salary.

We dont have children but we do have cats (which are as precious) so animal friendly, non-allergic is a must.

We have a good idea of how many hours per week it takes to keep the house in top shape but appreciate it takes a few weeks to get up and running and in to a routine so we envisage between 8-10 hours per week initially probably dropping back to 6-8 hours.

    Salary is ?13/hr.

If you are interested in helping us on a long term basis, drop us a line. Multiple references will be required email and mobile phone numbers please.

    No agencies please.

  5. Good afternoon,

We have received through the letterbox 4 cards addressed to:

    Ralph and Tracy

    Janice and Brian

    Barry Gage

    Julian and Gerry

We don't know any of these people. One of the cards wasn't sealed so I checked if there were any more details and the cards are from Anita and Michael. So.....if any of you know any of these people drop me a note. I would like to reunite them with their cards.

  6. Good morning,

We are looking for a new cleaner. Sadly our cleaner is moving on to pastures anew and we would like someone incredibly reliable to replace her. It is general household duties, sometimes errands locally drycleaning etc. We are currently on two days a week Monday and Thursday or Friday, but this is flexible. We are looking for someones that likes animals (we have cats) and is punctual and able to think outside the box - take over the care of the house for us.

    Many thanks

    J

  7. In a random act of forgetfulness I drove off in Zipcar from the Cyrena Rd space at about 1930 on Monday 27th evening leaving my beloved front bicycle tire behind at the side of the road! If anyone came across this or knows someone who did please let me know on 07411956386 or reply here. I don't care what happened to it I would just like it reunited with the rest of its body.

    Regards,

    Early onset dementia.

  8. Groan.....

We had an ongoing saga with Virgin Media over terrible internet speeds which finally ended in them discounting our internet connection charges by 50% until June when it is supposed to be upgraded. This took a lot of calls/emails to the customers services further escalation with emails to the CEO's office etc, typical terrible run around, we would have changed to Sky but were just so over it we were beaten into exhausted submission. We have about 7mps each evening.

If someone is writing again, send the company a link to this thread, it will make them sit up and take notice.

The ideal someone is happy with ironing, all general cleaning duties including dusting, washing floors and windows. From time-to-time we may ask you to do other errands like picking up dry cleaning, some shopping but this is rare.

We really appreciate the person that can look around and work out what needs to be done and prioritise this.

Payment ?10/hr for 3-4 hrs twice per week.
