  1. Hi

I have used Pit Stop, Upland Road, East Dulwich recently and have been really happy with the service. I find them reasonable, affordable, and I dont feel like they are ripping me off. They give good advice, even if it means earning less money out of me.

If you need a garage, I would give them a go.

  2. Try Rob Parsons, he has a website....http://robparsonsplumbingandheating.com

He fitted my outside tap, serviced my boiler, fixed my mates loo, is doing some quotes on full bathroom fit outs, small or large, he is more than happy to pop round, quote, let you fire questions at him.

Gas Safe and lots of experience - quite new to ED so needs some recommendations from the lovely ED Forum!

He has only lived in ED for 6 months so is looking to expand his network....nice bloke, Gas Safe, 20 years experience, leaves your place as he finds it, I am trying to get him some recommendations on the Forum as seems a great place to find local trust worthy tradesman!

  4. I feel for you, I was broken in to in January and cannot replace the sentimental items that were taken. OR the photso on the camera. It made me feel so uncomfortable in my own home. There are a lot of low lifes about in this area and I have to say, I cannot wait to move out of London in general as wherever you go, there seem to be a high ratio of idiots about. They caught the man that broke in to mine, his 18th conviction - he wanted to go back to prison, life is better in there for him - that is what I was told. Way I look at it, if you steal, cut your hand off. Simple. May deter some of the idiots out there that steal as they are too lazy to work and save and buy things like the rest of us. Plenty of DSS benefits people out there that could work. Makes me mad. Sorry, rant over!

Maybe look a little bit away from the Market, as ED is so nice it would be a shame to be disturbed. And I think prices go down a bit.

I love the Market, I love the area, I eat on the market every week and it tastes lush!

It adds something to the area, and I like to support it and the shops on the high street. If you dont buy, it wont last and people are just making a living doing something they enjoy - more of us should try that!!!

I posted a post when I moved here about places to go, asking for advice - see if you can find, it as it was a nice string of posts unlike some of this one :)

    Welcome to ED.

  6. My boyfriend and I are thinking of taking a 3 week trip to Central America at the end of the year. Can anyone recommend places to go, places to stay, places to avoid? We will be back packing, we like to experience culture, eat local food, meet local people...I love the beach so we would like a chilled out place to stay on the beach too...

    Thoughts welcome!

  7. I was broken in to last week, They caught the guy that broke in, he was fresh out of prison, wanted to go back in, left his prints and waited to get picked up - said he hid my stuff in a bush and went back to get it and it was gone - if anyone hears of anything like this, let me know, I would love my jewellery back :(

He took watches, a camera with extra zoom lense, my granddads tie pin, my gold bracelet and cash :(
