  1. Hi

I'm slowly transforming my very large and overgrown front garden into half driveway/half low maintenance garden, and at times I'm going to need someone to help me with things like paving, drain laying, excavating/digging. I'm removing all of the shrubs/trees myself but I draw the line at the pampas grass - is there anyone out there who would like to help me? That's the first thing I need help with. Digging is probably next. I'd love it if the pampas grass could go really soon.

    Thanks!

  2. Wow there's a right little community of the tonsil-less out there :)

Thanks very much everyone, this really helps. Yes, it is Evelina he's having it done - such an amazing hospital with amazing staff! And I've just found a bit of literature online about that new method they're using there and it does indeed sound a lot easier on the child in terms of recovery.

    Thanks again.

  3. Hi

My almost four year old son is having an urgent adenotonsillectomy performed next weekend. I had one myself as a teen, so I know what it's like for an adult. Has anyone on the forum got a child who had one at this age? He'll be four in March. I was just hoping to talk about recovery and what that's like for that aged child and how you prepared them and anything else you can tell me about what it was all like.

    Thanks!

  4. Hi

I play piano and really want to get into playing with other musicians. Are there any other instrumentalists out there who would like to give some duets a go?

I've got a couple of kids so would generally need to get together in the evening when they're in bed. Or alternatively is there anyone out there who would like to try a musical play date? :) My eldest is at nursery a couple days a week which just leaves me with the 17th month old and he's always partial to listening to me play piano while he potters about. So if anyone had a child of similar age and wants to come round with their instrument and see how much they'll let us play then we could always try that...sounds like fun to me!

    PM me if interested.

    Cheers.

  5. Hi again everyone, I thought I was available Monday morning but I have to work now but I'm free any of the afternoons next week. Really want to start meeting you guys, so, who wants to meet me at the roundabout on Monday afternoon at about 3.15 (the earliest I can make it that day)? If it's too cold we could grab a nice warm drink at the caf?, at least to warm our hands with while the kids demand to ride the wooden animals outside :) And whoever can't make that I'm also up for the next afternoon too. I'll have more mornings available the following week. x
  6. Hi Caroline,

There's another thread in this forum with stay at home mums in the title where people are trying to arrange a meet-up. If you have a look in there someone suggested Friday but I'm not sure whether that's happening. I know I can't make that day so I've just posted that I'm available on Monday if anyone wants to meet at the playground near the Peckham Rye one o'clock club.
