  1. Thank you everyone. Had a successful day. Went to all of the places suggested as well as The Old Bath House in Beckenham. Best picks of day - enormous round copper serving tray ?30 (with stand) and Gap leather shirt ?6. Yay!

Hi, Can anyone recommend some salvage yardy/antiquey/secondhand furniturey/charity shoppy type places in Forest Hill/Sydenham and surrounds. Going for a scrump today with a visiting friend. Thank you!

  2. Hi

I?m looking for a maths tutor for my yr 11 son to help give him confidence and boost his grade in his GCSE this year. Maybe also helping with a structure to his revision and cementing knowledge/techniques. Face to face tuition would work best. Please let me know if you can help. We?re based in SE24. Many thanks. Caroline

  3. Hi, I wonder if anyone is able to help me expand my mailbox size. ?Mailbox almost full 0.94gb of 0.95gb?. I don?t understand how to get more space. Currently I keep having to delete selected old emails and attachments, but I?m getting to the point where I need to keep what I have. This is my business mail. I really want to buy more storage, but it doesn?t seem obvious to me how to go about this. I?d be happy to pay an IT person to come and sort it out for me if it?s a bit involved. Many thanks Caroline
  4. I wonder if anyone is experienced in using Amazon Seller Central? I have two items I would like to upload - it is the same product, but one is giftboxed by me and the other is not. They have the same ASIN but different EANs. I have successfully uploaded the gift-boxed version, but get an error message when trying to upload the standard one. Going round in circles with helpdesk.

If anyone has experience of selling on Amazon and can help, I would be grateful to hear from you to take forward with you.

    Many thanks.

    Kind regards

    Caroline

  5. Hi

I have refound an old, secondhand, B&O hifi/cd player. I remember the cd bit working before it got put in a cupboard, but now I can't seem to get any sound to come out of the speakers (even though they are lit up). My question is three-fold

    1. Wondering why speakers won't work now.

    2. Wondering whether I can plug speakers into any hifi and use them?

    3. Wondering whether I might be able to fix/recommission the hifi bit and somehow play music from iphone or similar through it? (Not sure if it works like this.)

I'm pretty hopeless I know, but seems such a nice bit of kit (albeit old).

Any buffs who might be able to advise? Happy to pay for someone to come and have a look if it seems viable.

    Thanks

  7. Hi

My husband and I are casualties of the shut down in the hospitality sector.

I'm wondering if anyone knows of any vacancies in any of the supermarkets or has experience of the best way to seek them. Although there are lots of headlines about new jobs created during the COVID-19 crisis it is not easy to find them on websites or through phone calls. I can drive round to each store and ask, but am not sure if this is the best approach.

If anyone has any need for some admin support/driver with own refrigerated van/shelf stacker etc please let me know.

    Any advice/info would be appreciated.

    Many thanks.

    Keep safe.

  8. Hello fellow East Dulwich Forumers

We are an ice company based in Lambeth (living in Southwark) supplying the catering industry. We are not clear if we are eligible for the Government grant for the retail, hospitality and leisure sector and it is impossible to contact anyone in the Borough Council to discuss. We would be grateful if anyone who is eligible for this grant (either Southwark or Lambeth)could let us know whether they have been contacted by the council yet as this will give us an indication of how far down the road the process has gone and whether we should have expected to have heard something by now.

    Many thanks.

    Keep safe.

    Very worried.

  10. Hi, I'm just wondering in anyone knows/or uses a cook/service to prepare their weekday evening meals? I'm thinking of the sort of cook in advance for the week/fortnight ahead and freeze type of thing. I have a teenager and nearly teenager who are starving after school and by the time I get home and cook (usually not successfully because they never ever like what I cook) it's about 7.00pm or later before they eat - having typically snacked on pretty rubbishy stuff beforehand despite encouraging and providing healthier grazing. I've used Gusto/Hello Fresh etc but still takes ages to prepare. Also tried COOK meals but find them unappetising/mass markety. Any tips/leads/ideas welcome.

    Thanks.

  11. Hi there

I looking for someone who could sell some clothes (adult and kids) and toys on my behalf. I have taken a lot to charity, but still have about 3 or so bin liners of clothes with some quite good stuff in them (designer/branded). In addition I have a couple of boxes of toys, again with some quite good stuff in there - hexbug sets, loads of playmobile, bakugan sets etc. I also have lots of games/dvds. Is anyone interested in doing this for a cut of whatever is sold? You'd need to photograph and post from my house I suppose.

    Many thanks

  12. Hi Alex

I'm looking for help setting out a revision and general homework timetable as well as general methodologies/strategies etc on how to revise. My boys are Yr 7 and Yr 8 and are both hopeless at organising themselves (I'm not much better!) Can you help with this? What is your rate?

    Many thanks

  13. I've had a cleaner recommended but have just found out she is ?12.50 per hour. We have a 5 bedroom house (2 of which are v small and basic). I feel it's quite steep but I'm also aware you get what you pay for. Any views/recommendations?

    Many thanks

  14. Does anyone known of anyone locally who might like to sell some stuff on ebay for me? It takes me ages to upload photos etc and I have 3 or 4 bags of boys clothes and 2 bags of women's clothes with some nice stuff in them. Happy to be guided by financial split. Otherwise happy to for someone to look at what's there and make an offer on all or selective things.

    Thanks

    Caroline
