We recently had a spate of thefts on Heber Road near the school on Sunday 7th October we had two back wheels taken between the hours of 4 and 8pm on friday 27th my boyfriend had his handlebars taken, he took the bike inside and came back outside to find a young boy aprox 12 years of age, white with blonde hair eyeing up my housemates bike who scarpered very quickly. I noticed another neighbour locked their bike to a thin wooden fence post the other night, which could easily have been removed with a junior hacksaw! we unfortunately have a tiny flat and stairs and no garden so have little alternative to lock them elsewhere, rather frustrating to be at the mercy of what seems to be a petty opportunist thief, who keeps coming back!
