Well, I would certainly encourage those who agree with you to walk on the roads locally, unrestricted by parked vehicles slowing the traffic. Or are you suggesting increasing pavement widths by 5 ft or so on both sides of the road? If so I do hope you plan to charge pedestrians for occupying so much of the real estate? For comparatively so little time.

Do you use the local shops? If you are happy for the CPZ to come into Nunhead, then that is your opinion, however the  local businesses and the 65% of nunhead residents who do not want the CPZ would disagree. As per usual the armchair critics love to share their opinions and not take on board others???

  2. I popped and bought photo frames, I was chatting with a staff member who said they have received a lot of positive feedback from customers. However there were a few people who thought abusing the staff verbally was going to encourage pound land to close. There are many residents in ED, who are elderly, vulnerable and living on the poverty line, however the few inconsiderate and selfish people in this community just feel that East Dulwich is too gentrified for a pound land. To those privileged few, please wake and smell the oat flat white, or a cuppa, we are living in a cost of living crisis, where many many members of the community have to decide whether to heat or eat.
  3. Foxtons are moving to the retail unit where Jacksons were previously. , Peddar are moving to where Lilas were previously. Gails are taking over the old brick house.

Poundland local will balance the high street, we cannot assume East Dulwich residents are all wealthy, we have many members of the community who are on a low fixed income, using foodbanks, and members of the ED community are elderly, who rely on their state pension to live on. We needed the balance, and whatever you may think of the pound shop local, I'm sure many of us have shopped in them, I have.

  4. Hi All

Apologies I have not been on this thread recently. I have been dealing with car issues, my car broke down coming back from Belfast after Xmas, and I have been having issues with Bristol Street Motors Bromley who sold the car. I am now in the middle of a lengthy battle with Bristol street motors, which needs time and all of my wits to deal with this very dis-honest company. Unfortunately I cannot dedicate any time to this at the moment.

    Apologies again.

  5. I had my first aid refresher course today, I spoke with the trainer who said she would put me in touch with a company who sell Defibrillators for around ?800.

    I will keep you updated.

Ideally Defibrillators should be located everywhere. If someone were to go into cardiac arrest on lordship lane, and we had to run to the nearest Defibrillator for example Either Lloyds pharmacy on Nothcross Rd, or East Dulwich station, the time spent getting the defibrillator would decrease the cardiac patient's survival by 70%

CPR alone survival is around 8%, CPR with a defibrillator survival is around 85%.

We were given these statistics today on the refresher course.
