  1. I'm all for an outright ban on dogs in Goose Green the evidence suggests that dog walkers whoeve they may be, whatever their reason for being on the green are making the Green an unsafe place for people to walk or play especially young children. If that's not possible maybe it ought to become the official doggy toilet for the area. It's already referred to by some as Dog Shit Green
  2. Just wanted to check out if anyone else is experiencing delays in receiving post? We haven't received post for over a week and before that it was a bit hit and miss. I rang Royal Mail this morning and was advised by them that there was "only partial coverage in your area" which might explain the delays. The person I spoke to couldn't tell me how long this has been going on or when we are likely to get back to full coverage. I asked if we could collect our post from Sylvester road and was told this is not possible unless/until we have received a little red card through the door advising us that we have mail to collect. We are waiting for at least three small parcels and some weekly journals and goodness knows how many letters. Is it happening to other folk in the area and if so do you know of a way of getting hold of your mail from Sylvester Road?

Thanks for replies and for advice. Our mail is still missing will give it a few more days before we check with folk at Sylvester rd.

  4. So any business good or bad that would like to get on to the forum's banned list just has to write and tell you that they wish not to be discussed on the forum? It's very clearly the begining of the end for the forum, unless you make a stand your banned list will grow and grow and the forum will loose it's critical edge. Shame.
  5. Glad to see that you are taking the feedback seriously. The Seacow was, until recently one of my favourite places to eat. However, there is no denying that it's changed. We ate there last week and the service was awful at one point when we wanted to pay our bill we couldn't find anyone to take our dosh. The waiter seemed to have left the building and the person cooking had gone off to look for her. The atmostphere was awful and when we paid not one word of thanks not even a smile. The food wasn't bad - my fish was spot on but the chips were pale and not very pleasant. Hope you manage to get the place back on track - it was a great place to eat. Also maybe you could consider offering a low fat alternative to the chips - boiled potatoes for people like me on a low fat diet.
