Dreading this as I live on Underhill very near that turning. Bad for traffic, safety (and my asthma tbh). Hard to believe this is being done with no consultation, it seems ridiculous - something that a handful of people may want at cost to the rest of us. I used Emmaus https://emmaus.org.uk/slc/ to clear my grandfathers house last year. They were great. They all charge for this service so will come and give you a quote first.

Same as the post above but on Underhill Road. I gave him a fiver but didnt buy anything. They were pleasent to my face but also destroyed our bell as they left.

Thank you thats really helpful. Its a big commitment at 16 and its hard to know how to advise when there are lots of options. I'm guessing its a big no to the bus :)

My son is about to start doing this journey for sixth form, there are so many options (ED station, HO station, 197 bus) I wondered if anyone currently does this and what they'd recommend - ie are the trains super busy in that direction at 7.30/8am, does the bus take forever etc... or is it all much of a muchness?
