    We are an established bespoke cabinetmaking business in South East London and for over 30 years we have been designing and making high quality bespoke furniture for private clients , architects and designers in London and further afield.

    We currently have a vacancy for an experienced CAD designer to join our successful team- this is an excellent opportunity to work in a stimulating and demanding environment with an award winning company .


    The Role ;


    Carrying out accurate site surveys.

    Producing CAD designs specific to site situations,clients brief and expectations.

    Developing designs appropriate to period and historical properties

    incorporating new technologies and innovative ideas into the designs where appropriate

    Presenting the designs to clients

    Producing production drawings and setting out information for the workshop

    Producing a full brief for effective handover from design to production and ordering.


    The Successful candidate must be:

    Experienced in the industry and able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of furniture based construction techniques

    Fully conversant in Vectorworks/Autocad, Word and Excel- experience of Cabinet Vision would be an advantage.

    Able to demonstrate good communication skills both verbally and written

    Organised and proactive.

    Enthusiastic with a desire to further their own knowledge and skills.


    Hours of Work 9 -5.30 Monday- Friday

    Salary Commensurate with experience; IRO ?25- 27,000/ Anum

    28 Days annual leave

  2. The exhibition 'This way for Fun' and will run from the 10th - 20th of April

    at the Jeannie Avent Gallery, North Cross Rd, East Dulwich.


    The show will be a collection of limited edition prints produced by the Penfold Press, a Yorkshire based print studio who work with prominent British illustrators.

    The Penfold Press was opened in 2005 by Daniel Bugg as a print studio where artist and designers could collaborate in the production of limited edition prints.


    Dan Bugg studied at the Royal College of Art in Printmaking and uses his extensive knowledge to work with, an exciting group of talented individuals. The Penfold Press has gone on to publish editions of prints by Mark Hearld, Emily Sutton, Ed Kluz and Jonny Hannah.


    The print attached ?K is for Kittens & Knitting? is part Emily Sutton?s Alphabet Series. Since beginning her collaboration with the Penfold Press in 2010,Emily?s Alphabet Series has become highly collectable.


    Emily has illustrated books for the Victoria & Albert Museum, Faber and Faber, Random House, Penguin and Walker Books; and undertaken design commissions for Betty's of Harrogate (for a new range of Christmas products), Fortnum & Mason and Hermes. In 2011 she was announced the winner of the Best British Pattern category of The British Design Awards in association with Elle Decoration and The Daily Telegraph for her St Jude's textile 'Curiosity Shop'.

    The books read will be illustrated by Emily Sutton and Mark Hearld, supplied by Rye Books.

    Free to attend. Suitable for 3+.

  3. Would anyone with children ages 7-12 be interesed in drawing / painting classes?


    Just wanted to find out if there is any interest before potentially setting one up in september.


    Classes would involve learning about techniques, processes and skills with a variety of materials.

  4. Make a Father?s day gift for your Daddy!


    Art Market on North Cross Road will be hosting a craft session for children to personalise and decorate a Photo frame to give to their daddy as a present this Father?s day!


    Craft sessions will take place this Saturday 7th and Saturday 14th June, between 10-4pm.


    We will have a table filled with lots of lovely things to decorate your frame, If you don?t have time to stay, there will be kits available to take away so you can decorate them at home!

  5. Hello,


    can anyone recommend or share any experience of a good website builder.


    It is needed for a small business to sell products through.

    I recently made one on Wix which I was happy with, but then looking through the internet there are really bad reviews of wix, so don't want to commit to something that is potentially a bad choice!


    I would be grateful for any feedback if anyone has used wix or can recommend a different website builder?
