  1. we have just had two bathrooms and a kitchen done by Paul O'Brien builders.

Its a family run business and I can't recommend them enough. They worked so hard and paid such attention to detail, even suggesting extra things they could do that would make the finishing look even better. One bathroom was really fiddly and ornate with tricky tiles to lay. They never once rolled their eyes or complained like some builders did who came round to quote and it looks beautiful. I'll happily send photos if you message me. They also worked really cleanly and were lovely to my kids and just generally a pleasure to have in my home.

  2. Just wanted to post about stephen 07985 622 836

he laid a great patio for us out of moroccan tiles - really great job, great price, tidy , professional and lovely with my young children. I found his number on here and cant recommend him enough.

  3. I would also recommend them. They did an AMAZING job of our upstairs, the floors look stunning and the stairs look amazing. They were lovely to have in the house, even brought their own tea and milk and were so tidy and friendly. The floors look so amazing and they were more like craftsmen than just floor sanders, they really cared and gave great advice. Can't recommend them enough.
  4. Hi,

my son goes to Asquith on waveney ave and is going to start at the Belham school in sept.

I asked the nursery if they could let me know who else was going there from his class but they said they can't tell me.

Any other parents sending their kids to Belham who currently go to Asquith? Be nice to let my son know if he will have some familiar faces there.

    Thanks!

  5. I used the forum to find a gardener and so just thought I'd post recommending the people that we used in the end as they were great - www.landspace.co after some extremely high quotes we met with Seb from Landspace and he has done an amazing job, worked with our budget and created a beautiful space out of our small garden. He has managed to achieve everything we asked for and more - and he and his team were really nice to have around and cleared up every day before leaving. Can't recommend him enough
  6. i used tony today - mr rubble - on 07541 132 087. i was so impressed with his service and competitive price that i thought i would post on here. we had a really heavy load and it was raining but they did the job well and with a smile and cleaned up afterwards.
  7. More arty trendy middle class stuff detached from reality. So much is happening in Peckham? Maybe if you're on the cool carriage first class from Shoreditch or Dalston, but what about the real Peckham?

just the kind of positive and informative post i was hoping for when i shared the link about a new free local newspaper - damn you peckham peculiar and your free newspaper - coming over here, giving us free stuff, promoting local shops and artists, who do you think you are with your free interesting paper, how are the locals of peckham supposed to afford this free interesting local paper...id much rather sit and stare in to space being cross about the world, take your free interesting local paper back to where you came from...which is ..erm...peckham

  8. went to this cafe today and had amazing coffee and the kids did paint spinning with the lovely guy who runs it. I didn't know this place existed and we had such a nice time I thought I would post about it and the kids loved the paint spinning, even my 2 year old did it and thought it was amazing. He also does screen printing parties and sells really great screen printed t shirts, cards and lamp shades - i really loved it so thought i'd spread the word, especially on these rainy days when the kids need so much entertaining its a great, inexpensive thing to do.
