  1. Come and join us tonight at 8.30pm!

The Broadkasters play blues the way people used to,some of it low down mean and dirty some if it grooves, some of it rocks and boogies the place, and all with a Broadkaster twist in the tail.Vintage sound equipment ,vintage and bespoke instruments help create a sound that is pure 1951,could be Memphis, could be Chicago. The trick is their own songs sound like that too,you wouldn't know whats what! The popularity of roots music comes and goes and at the moment there is a lot of attention being cast the Broadkasters way. They are the future of Blues Music,or should that be the future is the past?! You tell me.One thing is for sure The Broadkasters Dig it!!

  2. Expanding on their hugely successful show at The Horniman Museum, The Lucky Dog Picturehouse will be bringing a mix of comedy, news and drama from the first decade of the twentieth century. Customers will be able to experience film makers such as George Melies and Mitchell and Kenyon, with live musical accompaniment.

They will be showing Voyage Dans La Lune, which inspired Scorses' HUGO -that's probably the most famous film in their line up.

  3. Tim Penn is the piano player from the Alan Glen and John O?Leary All Stars who tore the place apart at Blues Shakedown. He?s also a superb solo musician and band leader in his own right. His New Orleans style piano playing is amazing to dance to, and in addition to his blues repertoire, he regularly sits in for Dom Pipkin at ?The Iko?s New Orleans Music Shop? at Alley Cat.

    Playing tonight at 8pm
