  1. Hi. We're heading to OZ for xmas for 3 weeks and are looking for a lovely person to dog sit out two wonderful whippets. They'll need to go to your house as our house is been rented out. We've placed a message on EDF before but we're still looking so please do get in touch soon. We're happy to pay to cover your costs/time but we do ask that the person has a garden (flats not really suitable). We'll provide bedding/cage and any food etc. Please get in touch asap as we need to make alternative arrangements if we cant find anyone soon. All the best, Mikail
  2. Hi Kate,

I think I might be able to help. I work for myself (based in Peckham) and oversee the drwgs, planning, structural

engineering and building control for developments like yours. Basically I provide all the architectural services you'll need to see your build through. Funnily enough Tony Pescana (recommended builder above) is quoting on a job for me in Bellenden Rd. I do a lot of side and rear extensions these days so feel free to get in touch if you want any advice. I'll also be able to give you a good steer on costs. Please do get in touch and in the meantime feel free to have a look at my website. All the best, Mikail (www.fixateddesign.co.uk)

  3. Hi missmack1981,

I run a small company, based in Peckham providing building design services... do quite a few loft extensions these days.

My job involves providing all the architectural drwgs, overseeing building control and structural design elements, planning and on site implementation/appointing builder and oversite. Basically all the stuff you need to get your loft completed. I work for my self so my rates are very competitive. Please have a look at my website if you want to see samples of my work or give me a call/email if you want to discuss. All the best and good luck with the build. Cheers,

  4. I undertake a lot of planning in Southwark and it will be a hard one to get through. That said I have seen in the past clever use of angled slats, obscured glazing, organic walls etc to obscure any view of neighbours gardens... this obviously still lets the light in but you cant oversea your neighbours. If you do want to give it a try then feel free to give me a buzz... Good luck, Mikail
  5. Agree with the others. Please don't think you have failed! I had the same feelings when I was going into hospital after 4 days of being in labour but with some distance (and reading this forum!) I realised that thousands upon thousands of women and their babies need a bit of help along with birth, especially with the first. It is very, very routine and nothing to be ashamed of. Your body still has lots of hard work to do with the induction - it is not all done for you! So stay positive and you will soon have your gorgeous baby. You are in great hands at Kings. Don't let any misplaced feelings of failure get in the way of the most amazing moment in your life when your new baby arrives. You should be really, really proud of yourself. Good luck!
