Thank you care bear. We contacted Suzie the morning after we heard he had a place to be put on the list so fingers crossed one comes up sooner rather than later and we will look into the other options. Thanks for your help.

Hi,
Our son was offered a place at Dulwich Village Infants starting this September which we are really happy about.
We emailed the school to say we would need wrap around care but were told there?s a waiting list so he?d be unlikely to get a spot until possibly after Christmas. As two working parents wrap around care is essential, I just wondered if any parents have any recommendations for childminders that offer a drop off/pick up from the school?
Appreciate any advice or recommendations.
Thank you.

Just a warning to be careful walking along with your phone out.
My friend was mugged for her phone last night by the goose green playground at 6pm.
A man ran at her and grabbed her phone and ran off. She reported it to the police but they were disinterested. But just wanted to say be aware.
Thanks.

Come back soon, best curry ever!

Sorry to read this, such a shame. I?ve admired it a few times as our childminder lives over the road. Suggest you post to the General Issues section as it?ll get more views and maybe someone saw something. I hope it is returned.

Hi my sweater must have fallen off my kids buggy between Dulwich park playground and Rocca in the village. Please PM if you happen to find it. Thanks

Hi is it for a boy or girl? If a boy I would recommend gk barbers, i had the same experience at little clippers and looked on here for recommendations and went to gk barbers yesterday after the good reviews and was pleased I did. The guy there was very good with my little boy, who is also 2, he put CBeebies on as a distraction and I was really pleased with the cut. It cost ?8 which I also thought was a good price.

Hi, my 18-month old managed to throw off his wool knitted bobble hat this morning without me noticing until I got to the Goose Green playground. I looked around the pavement by Flying Pig pub and along that row of shops where I'd walked from my friends flat but couldn't find it. Please PM me if you did pick it up? Thanks Emma

Agree with Cedges. Virgin was good when it worked but lost connection far too often. Sky has worked without any fault for 6 months and download speed is okay.

I used this one and hired it from this company and thought it was really good.

Hi,
We are looking for a childminder to look after our little boy when I go back to work at the mid-end June 2016.
It would be for 3 days per week, he will be 1. I live on Landells road so am ideally looking for someone in the near vicinity. If you have any reccomendations for a lovely childminder it would be really appreciated.
Thanks.

Quick thumbs up for the Cherry Tree. Enjoyed their 2-course midweek lunch offer a couple of times. Nice service, much cosier inside than before and decent menu/drinks selection. Hope it does well.

Hi, we are looking to have our side return done too and will probably be living in the house throughout the work. Who are you using? Do you have any reccomendations? We have looked at build team so far but would like to get local reccomendations. Thanks for your help!

We've put our name down for gumboots, mother goose and first steps but won't know until next June if we have a place, all three said 1 1/2-2 year waiting list so have our fingers crossed that that isn't true but unfortunately sounds as though it might be the case from other posts on here.

Hi,
There is a meet up tonight at the actress pub from 7.30pm for those that are not on FB.

Hi, I've just seen this thread. I'm due early June with my first baby and would love to meet other local mums. Hope I'm not too late to join you all on the 24th?
Emma.

Hello,
We're wanting to get onto the waiting list for gumboots nursery, among others, having heard so many positive reviews. When I heard from them they said that we can only register when the child is born but that currently the waiting list is approx. 2 years from registration. I'm confused, they say that they accept children from the age of 6 months - 5 years but with the two year waiting list how can anyone ever get a space under two years old?
Has anyone been able to register their child there recently before the child has been born?
We live on Landells Road and would ideally like to find a nursery within walking distance if possible, does anyone have any recommendations for nurseries in the area? I'm currently nearly 5 months pregnant and have been told by friends to get on waiting lists asap so have started the process and wanted some advice.
Thanks for your help! :)

Agree with London Mix. Endless negativity by same people is annoying and invariably takes every posting off-topic.

I live on Landells Road, SE22 and yesterday someone clearly tried to steal our planter outside our front door. Luckily it weighs a tonne so they only managed to drag it a yard or so. But wanted to raise awareness in case they try to strike again.

I have two spare tickets to Stik's sold out walking tour which starts today at 2.30pm. Stik will talk us through the different artworks, finishing at Dulwich Picture Gallery where he has an exhibit. Please PM me if you're interested - tickets are face value @ ?4.
