  1. I spotted 2 on New Kent Road within 100 yards of each other a few weeks ago. I was intrigued as to what they were but after reading about the initiative, I'm baffled. Is it just me or is this ridiculous? If they were used for something like delivering medicines to elderly patients that are housebound I could understand, but surely if people want their shopping delivered they could just use a supermarket delivery service. Or the robot's handler could just deliver it themselves and add a personal touch. I'm all for new technology and its application but surely there's a more practical benefit to this than a shopping drone.
  2. I witnessed the arrest on my way to work. Did seem a very OTT for the arrest of one guy. The plain clothes officer seemed to have things under control, maybe a van to take him away would have sufficed. Not sure what the other 3 or 4 police vehicles and officers were doing. I'm sure I've seen the guy who was arrested begging for money and very inebriated in the area recently.
  3. I too would love to see a Sushi place open in ED, sick to death of a different curry house opening every few months. Do these people actually research the area before opening another similar eatery? Seems crazy to me, the only reasonably well thought out recent opening seems to be the Greek on Melbourne Grove. As was previously said I think Fuyiyama's in Brixton is the only place that delivers to ED, Buddah Jazz is well worth a visit as well as several other Vietnamese and fusion places in Camberwell, but if you're dining in-house Tsunami sushi opposite the exit at Clapham North station is well worth a visit.
  4. Rat having a poo? hilarious, I like that one! It's a howling werewolf and is done by Belgium, (Gent to be precise) artist Roa, who has several other pieces in the Peckham vicinity, around london, UK and worldwide. As the pub is run by the same guy who owns the Bishop in East Dulwich, along with many other fine establishments and the former having a mural by local artist Remi/Rough and US artist Augustine Kofie I imagine and personally hope it will be a permanent fixture.
  5. Thanks for that intexasatthe moment, very helpful. I know the gentlemen in question as I lived in Peckham for many years before moving to East Dulwich and I actually have eyes and a brain which allow me to recognise faces. Maybe this is a skill you are lacking along with the ability to write a constructive message.
  6. I used to give occasionally, but now never. There has been an increase in Dulwich recently, but I suppose as with the world in general need has increased. There are a few newcomers to Dulwich who seem to have migrated from Peckham to Lordship lane, one of which is a guy who has been rude and abusive to myself, friends and partners in the past. Another couple of guys who has spun me the same hospital and bus money story so many times I could probably recite it word for word myself. As was said previously, in general there's nothing much you can do apart from not giving to people on the street and give money to the charities that actually benefit from your money. Hopefully then there wouldn't be need for a somewhat shocking and narrow-minded thread as this.
  7. That would explain a lot Foxy. lol

Anyone know anything more about that? The pieces you mention are by Gent artist Roa and UK artist and cartoonist Phlegm. And to correct something that was said earlier; the piece on the side of the Bishop is a collaboration piece by Remi/Rough and L.A artist Augustine Kofie.
  9. Passed through today and there was a tent pitched in the bushes along the side of the Park by Sainsbury. Anyone know anything about it, not sure how long it's been there, or if this has been posted before.
