  1. Thank you to everyone who recommended Tony from Only Flues and Hoses. He has been with us today and has done a brilliant job of sorting out problems with an outdoor tab ,leaky toilet with a broken flush and leaking radiator. He definitely went the extra mile to leave things working properly and future proofed against any other problems that may come up. He explained everything and was really helpful. A pleasure to have in the house. Would highly recommend Tel:07734956340
  2. I agree with the original OP.

I've not noticed it ever before but I did this week as I was walking past.A black car was driving at what seemed normal road speed through the cemetery .Far far too fast and I agree very dangerous as people won't be expecting a car travelling at speed.

  3. I have also used Aston's handyman services . He came round to do some work on our gutter . He was available the week I called and his price was within our budget. As everyone else has said he was efficient ,professional and friendly and tidied up after the work . I would have no hesitation in using him again when we have any more of those jobs you keep putting off doing yourself.
  4. Largish ginger and white cat hovering around offices on North Cross Road Very friendly and looks well fed.

Has been hanging around for the last couple of days and tries to get inside.

May have lost his way or maybe someone has moved in recently nearby and he has escaped ?

  5. Hi I recently had to do this in a work capacity on behalf of someone else.

I went through an umbrella body which I picked off the HMRC website where they list accredited companies

It was not local at all but didn't need to be -all communication was done over the phone and I posted document copies to them.

They sent the HMRC form and were extremely helpful when filling out the form-they gave me a set of guidelines to follow and I called them if I had any queries.

The form itself is not complicated but it took me a while to work out which documentation I needed.

A bit daunting at first but once you get started it's o.k..really !

  6. Hiya I would say now youve started ,stick with it-we went through a lot of washing but as long as you have waterproof sheet and spare bedclothes you will be ok.Our experience wasn't smooth -after an initial great start my daughter started wetting the bed repeatedly. We stopped for 2-3 weeks and then tried again and touch wood no more accidents so far.

Just to add for us lifting didnt make any difference. If you are BOTH ready I would say persevere-good luck

  7. Hi I dont drive and use public transport a lot-basically anything is difficult until your child can walk/support him/herself whilst you deal with buggy.Definaltely NOT Quinny Zap-I had one-folds very small and light but you cannot do it with one hand.I ended up with Mamas and Papas cheapest stroller-think it was MAMU1-lightweight umbrella fold and never looked back, although I think McClaren Volo is very similar weight and size.Even the lightest still feels heavy though !!
  8. I agree I found the fitting studio in Forest Hill great.Actually I cant remember if the lady did use a tape measure but she definately has the knack of looking at you and assessing your size.Shes really lovely too.Went there when I was breast feeding and never looked back-best fitting bras I have ever had !Even got a super supportive sports bra. Best to make an appoint.
  9. I went to the 5 minute face party at Annas-thanks so much for organising and hosting at yours

Fiona was absolutely brilliant-she identified all the areas I wanted to focus on without me even saying anything and took time to explain correct application techniques. My husband said I looked 10 years younger after the makeover(with a bit of prompting )and had kissable lips !Well worth the money and a very enjoyable experience.

  10. I found it essential to have corner protectors on our dining table -the corners were at eye height for toddlers! and there were numerous occasions when my daughter and her friends were running around and bumped into them, once resulting in a nasty black eye so would have been much worse without the protectors-I found the ones shaped liked hands from Ikea stayed on really well-dont look that attractive thought-suppose it depends on your furniture and space around it.
