  1. Could everyone who is affected by the noise / late night commotion coming from the FHT's so-called club-nights, please contact Southwark Council's noise team 24 hour hotline on 020 7525 5777 or the police before things get even more out of hand. And before I upset someone.... I'm not a party pooper/killjoy, just a local who is keen to get a good night's sleep at the weekend and not have violent / threatening behaviour in close proximity of my home. Many thanks
  2. You clearly live no where near it as it's not in Forest Hill... It actually has a SE22 postcode.... I have no problem being called precious if I'm forced to complain about being kept awake over the weekend in a very residential area by a nightclub which seems to have sprung up overnight, posing as a sports / gastropub-ish place by day. It attracts the kind of clientele which included someone being shot last Friday night.....
  3. I also live on Therapia road and called the council a few weeks ago and got put through to about 5 people.....was then asked to send an email which I did but haven't heard anything. I was away over the weekend but am not so shocked to hear of the shooting. Something nasty was bound to happen sooner or later. Going to try council again and MP.
  4. My partner is hard of hearing in one ear and does shout "pardon" at me. He can still hear the voice coming from that so-called tavern..... As for house prices, there are loads of threads on the current housing market in ED. Nothing is selling. More so in our road prob because of the noise from that damn "tavern". I preferred it when it was an honest old man's pub because at least it didn't seem to cause any problems or anti-social behaviour.
  5. I'd suggest a couple of options....we eat at these places regularly and are foodies....each of them is relaxed.

    1. Good Gastro Pubs: The Rye (but not if your party is bigger than 8) or The Palmerston. The Rosendale is very good, but a tadge pricey.

    2. Good Italian: Si Mangia...this is great for occasions and larger groups.....great food and great staff mean you can't go far wrong....very reasonable and great for veggies

  7. Oh c'mon Boatthenell. Covent Garden is an established area for socialising in the west end. We are in a residential area. I have no problem contacting the owner but imagine that it will fall on deaf ears given the wonga is his raking in from charging ?5 entry..... Can't wait for tonight. It's "Surgery" night tonight apparently...
  8. we have 5 places on our road that have been up for sale for more than 6 months with no sign of them moving. meantime, estate agents are being laid off and the spectre of unemployment is rising with a lot of companies now cutting back expenditure with profits massively down.

the market has only one way to go....and that's down for the next couple of years at least. the BoE is not going to cut interest rates and allow inflation to rise, as once it's in 'the system' it's extremely difficult to stop it and it's an economically wrecking experience for everyone. so hoping that the housing market will be saved by interest rates is a pipedream.....the pain will sadly have to be endured by the fewer souls who bought at the top of the market on low fixed rates at the wrong time.

  9. They are actually filming a tv commercial in a flat on Therapia Road today. The 2nd time this year....all v annoying as last night some guy put "no parking cones" along Therapia road. Even asked my partner to move his car so the generators could park close to the flat! The residents of that flat are clearly making a huge profit with no regard for the residents of the street.
