Thanks - as far as we know it’s nothing to do with the boiler. 

I’m looking for a plumber who’s experienced with an old hot water system and modern showers/pumps.

I totally agree and in other circumstancies I wouldn?t do it. But my garden is very shady and the grass doesn?t grow.

Trust me I?ve tried for 7 years to make it grow, and now I?m giving up.
