  1. Can?t believe even Meadow would be dumb enough to block off a right of way that isn?t even within the footprint of the ground! Most likely the start of the Greendale amelioration works that the fences set up by our property development friends were designed to hinder.
  2. Would appear that Southwark Council wish to gain access to Greendale now that it has reverted to them. However the developers currently owning the football ground have chosen to make it as difficult as possible for them to gain access. The fenced off & boarded up areas are part of The Football Club footprint and the the fences are presumably there to prevent Southwark Council employees from parking there. Meadow Residential were asked for a statement and this is there response...

  3. When it was the odd can here and there the club was happy to turn a blind eye as long as people were sensible, brought no breakable glass and cleared up the mess afterwards, Unfortunately it now reached the stage where the amount of drinks being brought may potentially cause a safety hazard and we have to be firm. Alternative arrangements have been in place but within the terms of the club's licence, fans must first purchase tokens from the stand at the far end of the main bar (not the bra itself) which will allow them to pick up drinks from an outside bar located at the Greendale End of the Tommy Jover Stand. As always we're open to suggestions how we may improve matters for supporters so ideas are welcome.
  4. With so many pubs around the area it wasn't going to be too long before another one suffered a downturn in fortunes. Maybe a bit of TLC is needed, maybe a special offer here and there. Perhaps some quirky film nights on the big screen rather ubiquitous sports or maybe more sports just not the "normal" ones.

Afraid that trip to Lewes will have to postponed, probably until January. After yesterday's win over Margate, the next round of the FA Trophy will be on the weekend of Saturday 12th so no Lewes til later I'm afraid!

  6. The attendances may be up at Champion Hill but we've not yet managed a four figure gate midweek. Fisher have the Monday night slot and boy would they love that sort of gate, rainy or not. Whatever your feelings about Corbyn I doubt any political candidate in this country could attract the sort of attendance for a rally that the author of this article alludes to. Sad really, always have great memories of attending a massed rally for the communists in Bologna that packed out the main piazza with many thousands.
  7. Perversely it could do. One of the options open to the league as punishment for Enfield is to replay the game they won in which they played the suspended player. And guess who that is against? Hendon! If Enfield win by a big enough score they could overtake Dulwich, meaning we'd play Hendon in our semi. In an even more absurbist twist if Hendon were to win that (theoretical) game by a big enough margin they win the title at the expense of Maidstone. However can you see that happening? Watch this space (and several others).
  8. Just to add that the final will only be at Champion Hill IF we beat Margate AND whoever gets the last playoff spot (Enfield Town or Met Police 🚓 depending on what happens with Enfield's points deduction and any subsequent appeal) wins away to Hendon.
