  1. I dont want to sound like a preacher, but just needed to vent my frustration.

I understand why families want to use playgrounds (I have 3 of my own) but walking in peckham rye Park, when passing the playground, my kids and I counted only 1 adult wearing a mask, when walking past on 2 separate occasions.

We've all worked so hard to stop the spread of this virus and we have to maintain our civil responsibility to each other and the NHS to limit the spread wherever possible.

I would implore everyone to respect the basic rules that help limit the spread of this virus, When you are in close proximity in the playground atleast follow the rules and wear a mask!

  2. My parents car was stolen some time in the last day or so. I believe my dad whos getting slightly absent minded in his old age didnt lock it and the opportune thieves found a hidden spare key while rifling through the car (my parents live in the south west where trust comes more naturally). Anyway - its unlikely to be in the area any more - but its a much loved and banged up 13 yr old dark royal blue BMW 530 Tdi estate Tourer estate Reg - Y171 CCV.

Its a long shot but please let me know if you stumble across it!

  3. My wife reported a 'theft' to the police as similar guys took a whitegood item from our garden (it was there to be collected). She confronted them as she drove up and asked if they had been speaking to me and they lied saying yes. She thought it was dodgy and took the number plate and reported in case of wider incidences in the area.

We currently haven't pursued with the police (they have offered) but drop me a PM if you want further info.

  4. James Barber - you may be interested in a supporting letter by Councillor Anne Kirby which is included in part of the planning application:

    Dear Lauren

Thank you for your information. I have no objection and one of the gripes of people living in this area is the lack of

speed when using the internet. I hope this will also help.

    Regards

    Anne

    Councillor Anne Kirby

    Labour Councillor for Village Ward

  5. Dear Mr Barber

I have tried and failed on multiple occasions in the last few weeks to reach you by both email and mobile to continue our discussions on Judith Kerr Primary School.

Unfortunately you continue to respond to your constituents on the forum, and yet choose to ignore my messages.

I am somewhat exasperated that as a local resident, I have to contact you through this public forum but it seems I have no other choice.

I would appreciate therefore at the very least an acknowledgement that you will contact me, or should I expect a call post election?

  6. no Loz - Some areas that may be considered for designation as Local Green Space may already have largely unrestricted public access, though even in places like parks there may be some restrictions. However, other land could be considered for designation even if there is no public access (e.g. green areas which are valued because of their wildlife, historic significance and/or beauty).

Designation does not in itself confer any rights of public access over what exists at present. Any additional access would be a matter for separate negotiation with land owners, whose legal rights must be respected.

Considering your interest in this matter, I hope the information that has been presented to you, (and others who read the conversation) encourages you to make a representation to planning!

  7. You can still attempt to register the site as green space - irrespective of it being in private hands. And loz the info you are provided with is incorrect, the lease is currently for the ENTIRE site. Landsberger the site is leased on a long term basis, with the specific green space being under option for development for a period of 5 years from contract start. It is the 5 year option that is the concern to the school parents and i guess the majority of the local community.
