  1. Hi I'm Sarah, i am a qualified nanny (cache diploma in childcare and education) I'm 27 and have 8 years experience in Childcare, 5 years being a nanny. I have lots of experience with children of all ages, but predominantly with babies and toddlers, as I worked for 2 years in a baby unit of a nursery, and have cared for babies in all my nannying roles. I'm confident with sole charge care. I'm happy to cook for the children and perform the usual nursery duties. I don't drive, but that has never stopped me from ensuring the children I care for get to all their playgroups or classes on time, and I'm confident taking children to London museums etc... I am ofsted registered so, police checked. I have a current first aid, and I have lovely references from my past employers, who would happily speak with you. I am available ASAP. I would consider a 4 day week but I currently volunteer at a children's hospital 1 day per week and would like to continue.
  2. Hello I'm Sarah I'm 26 with 9years of Childcare experience, I'm extremely organised and reliable, friendly, with a positive, calm nature. I have been nannying for just over 4years and am between jobs till January. I'm looking to find some work over December (odd days here and there, or regularly days over that period) I am CRB checked, Ofsted registered, I have an up to date first aid, and lots of checkable references. I have a level 3 diploma in Childcare and education (CACHE) Negotiable rates. I am a very outdoors nanny regardless of the weather (so happy to don the wellies and jump in puddles, build a snowman or if we're lucky, enjoy a sunny day) I enjoy thinking up lots of arts and crafts activities, and I'm happy to go to playgroups and classes etc...
  3. Yeah I have been a nanny for 6 years in various parts of London and I have never experience that kind of play date. Common practice?? I think not. Not for a professional nanny anyway. I also think the wages are fair, for an EXPERIENCED nanny, I started nannying on a very low wage and have worked my way up through the years, even though I struggled with the cost of living at times. It is a good wage now though (thank heavens). But honestly if you don't think your nanny is worth the wage, you probably have the wrong nanny. I have always worked really hard and strived to give my best, for the children to experience as much as they can. I educate them, promote a healthy life style, and provide love and care. Parents are reassured that I'm calm and confident under stress and the children's illnesses. And , yes I do play dates but they are normally meeting another nanny and child in the park or on a cold day I may invite nannies and mothers over for a coffee morning (for the grown ups) and play for the kids. I have worked for two nurseries in the past and the experience is completely different. I'm not even going to make comparisons. But I will say there are many positives to having a nanny and I hope this forum doesn't put off potential employers... (Especially as I'm currently looking for a new role)
