I am interested in this position.

I was a legal Secretary and also executive administrator for many years, with Word and Excel experience.

Now looking for adhoc part-time work which I can also do from home if necessary.

I'm looking someone/a company to give me some quotes for carrying out various works around my home.

I need the following:

- Bathroom update - replacement of bath and toilet, to include painting

- part loft insulation - the rear loft only has one layer and I need the topping added to complete the job

- replace kitchen cupboard fronts only

- replace kitchen sink and reconfigure piping underneath

- laying of new carpets to hallway

- painting of hallway

- replacing a small window in a bedroom

I also need my guttering replaced and some filling of gaps in my roof so would welcome quotes from roofing contractors/gutter experts.

That's all part of the excitement of it surely :D

Joking aside, there are loads of thing going on in Peckham right now, you don't even need to go up Town for a night out with the variety of eateries, pubs and events. They opened up the old waiting room at Peckham Rye station on Saturday, which had been boarded up since 1962, the old decor looked brilliant. The Art Trail is taking place again this year on 29-30 September. The link shows who the artists are and the venues, with several local pubs and shops displaying artists' work.

We are lucky to have so many artists in and around Nunhead/Peckham.

Have always loved Ayres' bakery. I remember years ago friends and family would come from other parts of London just to get their cakes or order cakes for various occasions.

I notice they've also recently added a delicatessen section.

Also as already mentioned there is a selection of local produce to choose from.

I believe we even have Nunhead bees to produce the honey.

I've been a customer for over 30 years.

I love their fresh fruit and veg, always taste good especially their fruit which are always nice and sweet and you can have a knowledgeable chat about the stock.

I've had the ?1 box a few times when available and made a variety of meals from them.

Highly recommended.

Hi Ben, I have a couple of rolls of loft insulation that need laying in my loft. It's just the rear loft which is small. There is already one layer between the rafters so just the top layer needs doing. Is this something you can do?

Is this where the old playground used to be, which then became an adventure playground with lots of climbing apparatus?

I remember they had a paddling pool in the park when my daughter was little, many years ago.

Had my very large and unruly hedge trimmed and tidied up recently by Sean and he did an excellent job.

Would recommend him.

When I took my cat in yesterday they had started packing up. It's a shame they're moving, it was such a lovely site and parking was easy.

Where it's situated there are not many local residents living close by as it's near the main junction. It will probably be the buses and vehicles diverted for a period.

The nearest building would be the nursery (formerly public toilets).

I don't think it works out at ?16,000 per flat, I would imagine it's divided up between the leaseholders, as the tenants pay nothing.

I warned my sister-in-law about these costs before she bought an ex-council flat.

Not sure the site is big enough for the amphitheatre, Restaurant, gym, dance studio etc. from I remember, but it would be nice to have an open air pool.

Also, as someone mentioned, it's a bit too near to the busy junction.

Daughter and I went out researching somewhere to go and eat around Peckham and Nunhead for Mothers Day, cruising drive-by fashion and doing rough head-counts. All eateries were literally heaving with people: Mr. Bao, Pedlers, Artusi, Peckham Bazaar. People were queuing outside Pedlers.

It's good that there are so many places to eat in Peckham, seems like the place to be at the moment. Hope they all continue to do well.

I've always said we need a cashpoint down Evelina Road. The only one is in one of the mini-supermarkets and that charges you to take out cash. This will will be a welcome addition if it's free.

I actually remember when it was a Haberdashers and that was many many years ago.

It's good to see that more and more new shops are opening in that part of Nunhead, to add to the Butcher, Baker and Candlestick maker (well candlestick sellers anyway) and Fishmonger. It's a nice stretch of road where you can pick up almost anything you need.

Lolak Afrique in Choumert Road does great African food and has been there for years. I take away as it's a little tight in there but the staff and owner are always friendly.

It's not far from Cafe Viva and Miss Tapas. That stretch has several new restaurants/cafes recently opened, providing food from various parts of the world. Seems like the place to go.

There's also Cafe Spice along Rye Lane but in my opinion, although their food is good, Lolak tastes better.

It's called Can Tho.

Murrays Meat Market in Rye Lane do tripe too.

I remember years ago when this was hailed as the new way to work, better than paying for an office or a hot desk. This IS a hot desk (especially if you spill your coffee lol, sorry).

It's good that there are more places offering free wi-fi these days, which helps businessmen/women on a budget and it gets you out of the house where you can meet others.
