Yes Celia Hammond do use foster homes. That can be for kittens through to older cats that are not coping well with being in a rescue centre.

I’m sorry you were not able to adopt a cat from CHAT but it is certainly not rare that someone is deemed to have a good enough home. I have been involved with CHAT for over 10 years and have seen hundreds & hundreds of cat adopted & fostered. Unfortunately as quickly as cats are found new homes more cats are abandoned or rescued by CHAT & more homes needed.

The toilets at this spot in the park have been vandalised to such an extent that they are now closed.

Yes seem like they are doing non urgent blood tests now but the booking system is not up & running yet. I had an appointment that I‘d booked a couple of weeks ago & was in & out in 10 minutes. Only 1 other person there.

Yes I had a blood test booked at Tessa Jowell for the 1st day of this crisis, 4 June & received a text cancelling the night before. GP surgery don’t know when it will be sorted but we’re saying check back beginning of July. A BBC tv report last week showed operations being cancelled at Kings & urgent cases being transferred to St George’s. Blood tests are being done for patients at Kings but they are taking much longer as they cannot use the software to process & everything has to be double checked manually. As my tests are not urgent I’ll just wait until they are up & running again.

Saw all 3 yesterday. Plus young moorhens & some very young ducklings still on the nest. Wisteria also looking beautiful.

The Elms was South East London Baptist. Is now a Mission Care home.

The Elms is under new ownership. It has had mixed reviews. Not sure how it is now. I was looking into finding a Care Home a year ago. Visited Manley Court Care Home. A Bupa home on the site of the old Millwall football ground. Was impressed with the home & staff. Peartree Care Home on Sydenham Road always gets good reviews.

They will take towels, sheets, pillowcases, teatowels, blankets. Not duvets. Basically anything that can be used as bedding & that can be washed in a washing machine.
