Well I suppose it wasn't that unusual, I just didn't recognise it. It looked a bit like a cheesecake, but it was somewhere between a cheesecake and a cream mousse, and on the top and bottom was something between sponge and biscuit. I can't remember the name of it, and it wasn't on the normal menu. Aren't I useful? But if you see something there that resembles this fabulous description, buy it!

  2. I popped in yesterday to pick up a takeaway menu but he didn't have any yet - he's getting them today.

The menu looks good and pizzas seem to be all ?4-?7. Really lovely guy running the place. I asked about an unusual dessert I saw under the counter and he insisted I just try it but he wouldn't take any money from me. And it was fantastic.

Looking forward to trying his pizzas....

I know the thread has been running for a bit since this post, but please don't put deadlocks on the doors of communal areas that need keys to open them from the inside - this is illegal and as has been pointed out can be very dangerous in the event of a fire.

All escape route doors from communal areas must be able to be opened without keys, so only deadlocks with knobs on the inside.

FWIW if you're adding new locks I'd recommend Banhams - they have hook bolts which prevent the door being pushed out of the frame. Go direct and they will fit for you and guarantee it. And hinge bolts on the other side. Then as long as your frame is secure it isn't going to go anywhere.

    Hope this helps,
