  1. Yes. Kings do a two doses, 24 hrs apart, with the last one either 24hrs or 48hrs before the section. (Mine was 48 as section on a Monday. As such they are all done within what is considered in your study as the safe period.
  2. I've just had my 3rd ELCS and have had steroids before all of them. The chances of the baby having breathing difficulties are increased before 39w if you are having a c section. I haven't had any bad reactions personally and so far the two eldest are perfectly fine, no signs of ADHD but them they are still young. All babies have been very calm to start with so it didn't affect them immediately when coming out. Personally I would go with their advice. Rather that than a spell in special care. As an aside, if you are at kings, do consider the kings cord scheme. So worthwhile.
  3. I am looking to get a new cleaner and would love one that was good and yet not rude about the state of my house! Does any one have someone that they can recommend please! Thanks
  4. Also try Amy at Willis B. She sorted out my highlight disaster a while ago. She is an amazing colourist.
  5. I realise that this is a bit late as its not long until the first day, but is anyone else starting Fairlawn nursery this year? My son doesn't know anyone else going and I'm sure he would love to meet people before starting.
  6. Try Rennie. I have just got through a terrible bout of 1st tri sickness and has it last time too. Rennie actually says on the packet that it can be used for pregnacy related biliousness.
  7. Due to open 1st July aparently.
  8. Thanks thats really reassuring. I'm thinking next year. We are pretty close so should get in with a bulge (would have been out by 50m this year.) I'll also post on the se23 forum.
  9. Ok fair enough. We are 480m. Which school did you go for out of interest?
  10. Hmm. I think that my chances of Fairlawn are slim to nil. Do you mind asking me how far are you from Fairlawn and where are you on the waiting list? I actually thought the classes were great, teachers otherwise seemed bright and engaged with the children and the kids seemed happy and interested. It would be good to hear from anyone whose children have been at the school.
  11. I recently had a visit around Horniman school which I was largely impressed with, but I wondered if anyone could let me know their experiences. I have a slight feeling that it might not be very academically driven for potentially brighter students ( not sure why I get this feeling) and also, the Head seemed nice but not particularly inspiring. Am I off the mark here?
  12. I've already started to panic wildly about next year having found out the distances from all of our nearest schools this year. Sadly last year we would have been fine at Horniman and this year we are about 50m out of catchment. Does anyone know how long the impact of a bulge class takes to subside? With 20 sibling places out of 30 the catchment has dramatically shrunk.
  13. I had been reading this thread with interest as we had been contemplating no.3, but with a 2yo and 1yo was thinking that maybe we should wait a while. However, just found out that the next one is already on its way....!
