My daughter is in year 6 in Pickhurst Junior Academy in West Wickham. She has to take in a separate healthy snack to school for snack time.

I don't know how they tackle affordability issues over the snack, sorry.

I have not ever provided fruit but this is due to my daughter not wanting to eat an apple or something that will be messy. I usually provide cherry tomatoes, cucumber or carrots.

The school has policed the healthy aspect heavily and have not allowed anything other than fruit or veg or at least that is the message I am getting from my daughter.

The best way to save costs is to agree to use the adjoining owner's surveyor. The appointed surveyor should be impartial in their work. They have no vested interest either way.

The presence of knotweed may affect the ability to sell a property and obtaining a mortgage from previous experience and the companies who deal with it needs to put in place a plan over a period of time to confirm that it is properly gotten rid off. This might mean yearly treatments and a warranty that it has been eradicated. I would recommend spending the money on doing it properly. Sorry, I can't recommend a company but a quick google brings up a few companies offering this service.

My daughter had her 10th birthday at Quasar Elite in Bromley and it was a huge success. The staff was attentive and the kids really enjoyed it. We had a spare space so both my husband and I had a chance to play a game with the kids which was enormous fun. The food was typical fast foodie fare.

Bauder Extensive green roof is one of the best and they have a list of approved suppliers and installers that will come and install the green roof. We used Mike Foster, 07850 235 481 to supply and install.

I would recommend Window Clinic, they have a very good heritage range of PVC sash windows with sympathetic detailing, they use timber internal surrounds too and you can have the PVC weld rubbed out to make it look even better. They are very good, give sound advice and prompt pricing but won't hassle you.

Glazing Vision has a wide range of flat & pitched roof frameless glazed skylights in bespoke and off the shelf sizes.

We have used the Polished Concrete Floor Co. They have a showroom in Croydon.

My 9yo daughter is also into coding and have spent a lot of time doing Minecraft & Scatch at school.

We got her a coding and computer kit for her 9th birthday from Kano. It was not a cheap pressie but she got to build a computer which came as a kit of parts with some adaptability and can then code on it(other than gaming), and use it for normal other PC uses too. Regrettably a mistake was made on the drawings, and in hindsight I did not deal with the initial query properly. However, when you made your dissatisfaction known to me, I offered to meet with you, I went to site immediately and liaised with the contractor and engineer to make a proposal for remedial measures, which I diligently followed up thereafter and which you accepted in writing was satisfactorily dealt with and resolved. I offered my sincere apologies and a refund of the building control fee for the inconvenience caused. From this I took the matter to be closed.
