  1. Leon (07707 925039) has my highest recommendation.  Whilst the job was relatively small, the need was fairly urgent, and Leon responded to my requirement with efficiency, courtesy and professionalism.  I had sourced his services through this forum, and the volume of recommendations made  it an easy choice for me.  He arrived on time, and attended to, and rectified, the issue that I had with with a high level of expertise and integrity.  His fees are more than reasonable, and I would not hesitate in engaging his services again of the need requires.

  2. I was really impressed with the service provided by DMC, relating to my vaccine. I received the vaccine (Pfizer) at the Tessa Jowell Centre on 13 February, just prior to my age-group (65-69) being opened up. I was contacted by text message by DMC on 09 February to see if I wanted the vaccine, then by phone on 11 February to arrange an appointment, which took place two days later. The arrangements in place at the TJ centre were also phenomenal, and I was left in awe of the NHS, centre staff and volunteers who worked with precision clockwork to vaccine the large group of people who were there at the same time. I received an appointment for the second does as a part of the process.
  3. I was verbally abused this afternoon by a runner, after I politely asked her to remember social distancing. She was running in the direction I was walking, approached me closely from behind, and passed less than a metre to my right. Like us all, I don't have eyes in the back of my head to see someone approaching, and as a senior my hearing is not perfect. The abuse and expletives were unnecessary, and really quite vile to be frank! It's not difficult... two metres!
  4. Thanks for your comments. This kind of fraudulent activity really stresses me out!

I haven't used my HSBC debit card for months and months... and I purposefully avoided the ATM at Sainsbury because of all the stuff I have read here (and I appreciate that!). I do most transactions on-line, and funds for daily use / entertainment / shopping etc come from another (non HSBC) account, which I have had no problems with (touch wood). I just didn't have that card with me when I went to Sainsbury on Saturday, so I am pointing the finger at them!

Just take care everyone, and with the high amount of fraudulent activity thats happening when you use a debit / credit card in ED, think before you use it!

  5. They got me as well... and the ONLY place I have used my debit card recently was Sainsbury's on Dog Kennel Hill - at the checkout (not the ATM machine). HSBC blocked the card and called me, after an attempted withdrawal from India about 10 hours after my trip to the supermarket. Full marks for HSBC for acting speedily. The question is... is it now safe to use your card anywhere?
  6. He knocked on my door on three separate occasions last night, each time demanding (that is, not asking politely nor with any modicum of courtesy) that he be let in to discuss my power bills. After two polite refusals, I informed him on his third visit that I would call the police if he cared to knock again!
