I'd just like to say that I am fed up of reading all these coments about DMC as on 11th December at 6pm, patient participation group (PPG) held a meeting at DMC lead by Helen Chrown, the chair of PPG and it was a shame to see that none of you complaining actually attended to discuss your concerns and more to do with the Admin and Clinical staff. This meeting took place with no more than 10 elderly including 3 middle aged people. I dont't mean to discriminate age, but I was expecting to see more people, mothers, fathers, carers, etc, at the meeting to bring up their own concerns. Also the date, time and other info about this meeting was also put up on this forum. Just to let you all know that the General Practice Manager from DMC attended this meeting and he has knowledge and apologises for any problems and frustrations caused to the patients by the lack of support that DMC has given to his patients and he has promised that more investments will be taking place including the employment of new admin staff, new practice manager assistant and a new telephone system is to be put in place by the middle of January which will help with appointments. To achieve all these promises, we need to all be part of PPG to put more pressure and show the high numbers of patients to the surgery to provide us as a community with the service that we require.
