We've learned lots recently about engineered floor (above ufh) and we have lots of lovely samples.

If you're considering a new floor and would like to have them they are free to pick up.

Mainly oak, mainly brushed and oiled from different suppliers (both online and south London shops)

 

Did you receive any replies? We are also looking for an independent structural engineer too.

Highly recommend trying Otherwise on Bellenden Road. They've been great to me and do bespoke clothes as well as alterations

Just wondering if anyone with nanny share experience has just had one family pay the nanny directly for the total amount owed (and thereby be her employer) and had the other family pay their share to the first/main family?

Recently had a big party at Off the Cuff in Herne Hill. We hired a band and had DJs (though we brought some additional sound - might not be necessary depending what you're going for). A bit rough and ready, but turned out well.

Just wanted to update this thread with my review. I had a fantastic experience with Otherwise, taking in some fabric and a couple of dresses I already owned to copy/use as inspiration. Fabulous results and just altogether a great experience. I was very grateful for their quick work as well. I took a risk with them and it really paid off.

Tagging on to this thread for some extra advice please.

Ryanair now allow a car seat as well as buggy for no additional charge.

Does anyone know when the car seat is dropped off? At check in? And would you recommend wrapping/bagging it?

I'm also going to use my Bugaboo Bee and drop off at gate. Is a travel bag really necessary here?

I'm afraid I can't recommend the classes at Peckham Pulse. I felt there was no progression, and the teacher was actually absent the past 3 classes. I've asked for a refund for those.

I've been producing a series of short films for the environmental charity Global Cool. They are hoping to encourage people to take more flight-free holidays, and holidays by train (traincations!) in particular. Here's an example of one:

Following up on this 'traincation' idea, Global Cool have introduced a competition to win an HD flip cam and a pair of InterRail tickets. The tickets are worth ?560 each and represent a month of unlimited travel around Europe. All one has to do is upload a short clip on to youtube (max 30 seconds), describing your dream train journey. Deadline is very soon though - April 26. It seems to be aimed at people aiming to be presenters, but anyone could do it. Inter-railing is classy, and not just for students!
