Thanks Sue. No the car just drove on. We don't know if they noticed. We were driving behind. We were just glad we could be with the cat, and take him to the vet, rather than leaving him there 😞 -
This is a bit outside our area, but I'm posting in case .... Last night (Sat.20 Dec), around 10.30, we saw a cat hit by a car in St Norbert Road, SE4. We took him to the out of hours vet in Beckenham, where they confirmed that he had died. They will see if he is microchipped, and contact the owner if so. They were very kind. He was a lovely cat, grey and white. He must have died very quickly. So sorry to be the bearer of bad news 😞 The vet is Medivet in Beckenham, tel: 0208 650 2003.

I'm looking for a builder to carry out extensive repair work on an old house. It needs re-plumbing, re-wiring, and doors replaced. I need someone really flexible and reliable, who can give good advice, and who has a good team. Thanks for your advice! -
I had lots of books to donate to the HH Oxfam bookshop a few months ago. I phoned them, and they told me I could drive to the rear of the shop, where parking is easy. They gave me directions, and came out to meet me when I arrived. They were very helpful, and grateful for the donation. So it's definitely worth ringing them!

I totally recommend Elliot from Langley Carpentry. He has just installed a hanging guitar holder, and a large mirror, on the wall of our music room. We're delighted with the results. Elliot was punctual, friendly and efficient. He also suggested a brilliant solution to a problem we had with one of our walls - and the end result looked much better than my original idea. We'll definitely ask him back to do more work in future. Many thanks Elliot!

Friday 13 August at 10pm. My son was mugged by a man with a knife, on Piermont Green (opposite Peckham Rye Park). He was unhurt, but his phone was stolen. I have reported this information to the police. Description of person involved ? Wearing: Hoodie and tracksuit trousers. Age: Around 20. Build: 5ft 9ins tall. Ethnicity: Black. Sex: Male. Other details: Wearing a face covering.
