  1. Thanks Denfra - sadly not Leo. Leo is an older cat (12 years) and has limited movement - he cannot jump as he has arthritis in his back legs.

Really appreciate the message though and if anyone else thinks they have seen him please let me know even if you are not certain. I know he is out there somewhere lost and will keep searching for him.

  2. STILL MISSING...

It's now 14 days since Leo went missing and I wanted to say a huge Thank You to everyone who has contacted me with sightings. Please keep them coming - even if you are not certain its him, it may be the other missing cat called Cheetah.

Look out for those big fat cheeks :-)

  3. This morning we heard the cat flap go and in walked Leo after six weeks and two days!!!

Unharmed, uninjured and after three full bowls of cat food in one sitting - very happy and purring.

It is the best early Christmas present ever. We have no idea where he has been, but want to thank everyone who helped us look for him.

We are looking for Leo. He lives on Bellenden Road but could have got lost and strayed further. He does not have a collar and has a distinctive cut on either ear. He also has huge large cheeks.

He is male Tabby. Picture http://picresize.com/popup.html?images/rsz_2rsz_710c7a33-5cd5-49f7-8389-4162c31b8702.jpg

  4. Thanks edcam and twinsmom. I agree that getting other quotes is always advisable, but wanted to ask some opinions as a lower quote may simply mean lesser quality (after all I have nothing as a comparable). I actually used 1st Scenic for the windows at the back of the property and did not have a terribly good experience with them unfortunately (otherwise I would most likely have used them again).

Appreciate the response however and have called a few other places.

If anyone else has recently had a quote (or gone ahead and had windows fitted) I would be really interested to know what they paid please.

  5. Hello ED - I have been quoted for a replacement Victorian Bay Sash window and wanted to know whether anyone thinks my quote is too high or about right.

It is quite a large bay with one central sash and a static window either side - removal of the old wooden frame and replaced with UPVC.

The quote is ?4,000 (inc. VAT)

It seems like a lot, but perhaps this is simply what is costs. Many thanks everyone.

  6. ...turned back into The Wishing Well??

Tables are covered with used glassware, ash (on all outside tables) foods spillages (on tables and the weird astro turf floor outside - which is the equivalent to having carpet in your bathroom)...and I daren't even mention the state of the Ladies toilet which is beyond disgusting.

In fact it's probably unfair to say that they are turning back into The Wishing Well as this had cleaner facilities, friendlier staff and far less expensive drinks.

Where is everyone drinking now...because it certainly isn't The Victoria Inn. Please tell me where to find you all...

  7. Interesting you should post this as I would like a recommendation if anyone has had them fitted as to who they used/who is best & approx cost for a standard Victorian bay window?

    Thanks
