  1. Hi guys.

Any top tips please. traveling from London to Newcastle and wondered if there was a cheap way to do it? apart from thumbing a lift ;) Looking at the train but anyone have some inside info ? Is there a better way than going direct eg stopping at certain station then going direct from there? Been scouring the websites , trainline, virgin, comparison etc.

    Appreciate it if any ideas?

    Thank you :)

  2. HI

Have moved from east Dulwich to Penge .I know :( However I know there are many cyclists in East Dulwich who might be willing to give me some help.

I need to cycle from Penge high st to Old Kent road (pc world )end. Whats the best route to avoid so many hills apart from moving ? :0 Sat nav likes the hills it seems.

    Appreciate any input.

    :)

  3. I was really sick on sunday, severe headache and throwing up all over the place. By Monday I was so weak I called the doc and asked if a doc could come round. I was told I was not registered as a house bound patient so no. I called back to see if I could get an appoint and maybe my friend could take me in the car even though its not far away as I could hardly move without throwing up. I was told no and to call 999. Completely ridiculous! I just desperately needed to see a doc. Luckily my friend went to the pharmacist who gave her some medicine to stop me being sick and some rehydration tablets as well as paracetamol and she came right round.I am still off today but feeling better than I was. There has to be some way to improve the health centre. This happened to me before when I first moved down but because I wasnt registered I couldnt be seen by a doc. .I am lucky to have friends here but what if you dont? What if you have just moved and dont know anyone? or cant get to a phone?
  4. Exactly jollybaby I dont want it to become an issue. I really dont want any bad feeling in the flat from me or my flat mate.

Low and constant I see.. However this evening she asked if I would mind if she turned it up as she was really cold. I dont want her being cold but its not falling into the low and constant now :( more like roasting and constant :(

Yes thermostat in my room good idea.

Really appreciate all the ideas. Love this ED Forum :)

  5. Thanks guys . Its good to get everyones perspectives :)

Can be tricky so good to get opinion from both sides. Loving the humour too ;)Slanket lady and womanofdulwich tee hee.

I have an electric blanket too. Best thing ever although maybe someone could invent pjs which could contain heat that way you could just flounce about in all evening with a hidden glow about you? Any inventors listening? Its a money spinner ;) Obviously a gap in the market.

  6. Kalamiphile many thanks. Will check that out.

Twirly thank you too. Its on a timer so when I got in it was still on few hours later. inspector Clueso strikes again ;)

Yes I dont feel the cold but appreciate that other people do. But at same time not wanting to pay an arm and a leg for something I dont want when I am cutting down in other areas to buy christmas gifts etc. Bit tricky to work out how to break up the bill if it came to that..

Silver fox , ah a slinky and a couple of hot water bottles... generous indeedy ;)

  7. OK dilemma.

I am in a flat share. I dont feel the cold. Flat mate reeeaaaly feels the cold. Have heating on a timer for an hour in morning and in evening for three hours. Reasonable? Trying to get happy medium. But am concerned about bills and have come in some nights and its been on for hours. Cant afford huge bills and dont want to fall out with flat mate. Plleasse any suggestions? Thanks :)
