  1. All,

Only very rarely am I moved to leave a comment but the wonderful job that No Flies did selling our house in ED deserves a shout out and the encouragement for others to use them as well.

Extremely pro-active, knowledgeable and great value for money, I would highly recommend instructing them for house sales/lettings.

  2. Due to pursuing a new job overseas, we will shortly be looking to rent our 3 bedroom house in ED. We have had the usual raft of agents round to value and to tell us what a wonderful letting management team they have and the fantastic service they offer.

I hoped that there would be people on the EDF who had used local letting agents, particularly from a landlord's perspective, and might be able to offer first hand experience to but through the corporate drivel they all have in their brochures.

    Can anyone recommend any agent(s)?

    Help!

  3. Afternoon James,

Is there anything that can be done with the rubbish bin by the bus stop at the top of Lordship Lane towards the Library, outside the Plough DIY shop? Each morning rubbish is strewn all over the pavement and by the bus stop. I have attached a couple of example pictures, one from this morning which included a number of used sanitary towels!

I appreciate that there is a need to have a rubbish bin by the bus stop but it seems that people are leaving bin bags next to the bin which are then opened by foxes overnight and aren't cleaned up until later during the day leaving an appalling mess until they are cleared.

Perhaps you might be able to look into it and see if there is a workable solution to make everybody's morning that little bit nicer - perhaps the bin could be moved/removed.

Sorry to raise such a seemingly trivial problem but it has got worse and worse over the last month or so.

    Thanks,

    O

  4. Sick and tired of people leaving their rubbish in our front garden and around our house. The Council collect this stuff for free so why on earth dump this stuff around the area?

What can we do to stop this?

To the person who left a builder's bucket half full of human poo and wee outside our house for my 2 year old to find as we got home - you are a disgusting disgrace.

  5. We are purchasing a small plot of land in ED which currently has a couple of lock up garages and other building rubbish on it.

We need the garages dismantled and the land cleared completely and levelled with all rubbish and rubble removed.

Could anyone recommend somebody who might be able to carry this out. We need it asap and for as cheap as possible (obviously!)

Please get in touch if anybody can help.

    Thanks,

    O

  6. I know this has been covered on this forum previously but given the speed of change that seems to be occurring in ED at the moment I wondered what people's thoughts were on the merits/quality of these two schools - when were they last OFSTED inspected? Does anyone know the extent of the catchment areas?

Perhaps people could give an update on the progress of both schools - we have relocated to Landells Road and will be looking to send our 2 year old to one of these in the next two years.

Look forward to hearing what people have to say (unless it is the usual ED forum class bashing...!)

  7. Apologies for somewhat trivial post but I am looking to get a couple of walls rebuilt at our house in E Dulwich. I am not 100% sure though what the stone is that the houses are often constructed with in the area. I have attached an example of a house which is made of the same stone that we need - can anyone tell me? Many thanks in advance.
