  1. Kuki Hair on Bellenden rd
  2. Might be an idea to report it to the police if you think the powder to be 'suspect' rather than throw it in the bin.
  3. Not sure where you live, but 42 (from Dulwich Sainsburys) or 78 (from Peckham) go to Tower Bridge. Bit of a long winded journey, but gets you there.
  4. If you are a resident in Southwark, Tower Hamlets or City of London, you can buy tickets for the Tower Bridge Experience for £1 each. There are lifts. I found it ok to navigate around as an older, less able person. You get entry to the Engine Room as well, which is very interesting. Best to book in advance as the queues can be long. Afterwards, a walk around St Katherine's dock is free and a pleasant experience. The (old) Queen's royal barge is currently berthed there and worth a look.
  5. I know its a whinge, but it would have been good if the Bellenden event had been in one of the side roads - Coplestone or Choumert or even in the park, so that the P13 didn't have to be diverted via Peckham Rye.
  6. Stephen from Dulwich Carpet Company is lovely. He takes time to explain about different carpets etc and was able to solve a problem with a sloping floor for me. Dulwichcarpetcompany.co.uk. - 07507407289
  7. Received this email today re the partial reopening of the pool. What I found a bit bizarre was the paragraph on 'pool hygiene', considering that on one of the last occasions I visited the pool, I witnessed a person, who later identified himself as the 'pool manager', dunking the changing room mats in the pool to rinse them after washing them poolside, leaving a deposit of grit etc on the pool steps. When I complained, he didn't think he'd done anything wrong. Maybe that's what messed up the pool filters!!! (No subject) (2).zip
  8. There's been no update on the app since March
  9. I made the mistake last Autumn of having my Covid booster and Flu jab in the same arm at the same time. The pharmacist said it would be ok! During the night I felt really sick and got up and sat on the side of the bed. Next thing I knew, I was waking up on the floor. Frightened the life out of my husband! Took him a couple of hours to get me off of the floor and back into bed. Spent the next couple of days in bed recovering. I won't be making that mistake again!
  10. Sue If you have PATIENT ACCESS, it shows under 'medications'. Mine was SPIKEVAX, which is Moderna, although I had mine in Lewisham
  11. When meters were installed along our road, we were told by TW that we had a choice to change to the meter for a certain period, but after about a year, we HAD to change to the meter.
  12. There are 2 of us in our house. A few weeks after we had a water meter installed and before we received our first bill, TW told us that we should be paying £70 per month to ensure we did not go into arrears. We refused to change our DD and carried on paying £40 per month. When we eventually received our first metered bill, our usage was only about £25 per month and we were, in fact well in credit! Also, only receiving a bill every 6 months is not very helpful, as we find it very difficult to keep tabs on what we are spending.
  13. Looking good. My office used to be in the left hand block, in what once was Matron's quarters!
  14. I remember Jones and Higgins in the 60s when I was a teenager. It seemed to me at the time to be a very upmarket department store. Rye Lane also has 2 C&As, M&S, British Home Stores, Woolworths, Dunn's hat shop, umpteen shoe shops and furniture stores. We brought our first 3 piece suite and bedroom suite in Williams furniture store in the late 60s when Rye Lane was a thriving shopping centre.
