  1. Hi there, I'm moving from East dulwich to tunbridge wells in the next few weeks and looking for a reliable man with a van who could move my furniture for me. I don't have too much so don't need a removals company. Thanks
  2. Hi there, me and my (almost) two-year-old daughter have just moved to East Dulwich and we'd love to get to know any other single parent families - as well as other families - round here!

We find the weekends can drag a bit when we assume everyone is spending their weekends with husbands etc. If anyone would like to hang out at the park with us, we'd love to hear from you.

A bit about me, I'm a journalist working for national newspapers, magazines and sometimes telly - but don't let that put you off! We have been living out of town for the last 18 months but are very happy to be living back in London now. We were in Muswell Hill before but we've decided to come south now as lots of our friends are down here, but not many if them have kids which is why we'd like to find some nice mums - or dads - to hang out with. Do say hello!

  3. Hi there, has anyone heard of this, or better still done it themselves? I'm writing a feature about older parents who are house swapping with their kids who have growing families but can't afford a bigger property... the parents have all family off their hands so are happy to downsize, so the two generations swap houses. Has anyone done this? thanks
  4. Hi there, I'm currently living up in Peterborough but planning on a move to East Dulwich with my 22 month old daughter in the next couple of months. I want to move to an area that has plenty of good schools as I need to apply next year, and also somewhere that is lively for me and my daughter to make lots of new friends. A lot of friends live scattered around SE London, hence the reason I'm moving, but I don't know where to start when picking areas or schools. Some people have suggested places like Telegraph Hill or Beckenham, but I wonder whether we might feel a bit isolated over there on our own. Most importantly, I need to help finding affordable nursery care or childminders. Can anyone offer a newbie any help on where to start? And if East Dulwich would be a nice, yet perhaps expensive, place for a mum and daughter? Thanks ever so!
