  1. An offer you can't refuse. I've been with Green Flag for a few years and have used them twice (once for my car and the other for my wife's). Excellent service on both occasions. From memory the first time was a local recovery firm working on behalf of GF. The second was a GF vehicle.
  2. What's the problem with Bing. I've been using it for several months and have found it at least as efficient as Google in finding sites etc and considerably less intrusive than the 'Mighty G' - to the point of being not intrusive at all.
  3. The word 'flu' suggests to many people something akin to a rather heavy 'cold'. The truth is that, if you have the 'flu' (ie influenza) you will be very poorly, particularly if you are over 50. It is a very debilitating illness and it is highly unlikely that you would be able to get out of bed, let alone go to work. If the flu jab is available to you I would suggest that it would be very much in one's interests to have it.
  4. Way back in the 70's I worked in Hertfordshire and chanced upon a couple of guys who built swimming pools for high end punters. They had not long returned from a job in the Channel Islands (can't remember which one) during which they became drinking buddies of Oliver Reed, who was making a film there. These guys could drink big time and were able to match Reed in the consumption stakes. They couldn't speak highly enough of him. They said he was humourous, generous, very polite to all and sundry and very popular with the locals. I always thought of him in a different light thereafter.
  5. Just a very small point. When new posts are available they are marked 'new'. Usually the 'new' is red but sometimes it is blue. Is there any significance?

PS I am most definitely not in the Clique but am enjoying reading posts from those who are (and aren't).

  6. "What happens if 4 cars arrive from different directions at a roundabout? If you give way to the car on the right then everyone is giving way to someone. Stalemate or just chance your arm and go first? I'm sure someone knows what the regulation is. I just don't"

The bloke in the BMW ALWAYS has right of way!!
