I found the timeline shared here really useful when I was buying and converting my loft, so thank you to Nick86 for posting it! My loft conversion is now complete, and I received building control sign-off some time ago. However, I’m now stuck in a drawn-out back-and-forth with Southwark Council over various additional sign-offs they say are needed. It’s been incredibly frustrating - very disorganised, and every time I send them everything they request, weeks later they come back with something new. I've asked for one clear and concise several times but it makes no difference. Has anyone else been through this with Southwark Council? If so, do you have any tips for getting it over the line? At the moment, I can’t proceed with the lease amendments or update the Land Registry until this is resolved. It's truly maddening!

Does anyone know who owns the abandoned printers on the corner of Ryedale/ Forest Hill Road? Bit of a shot in the dark but my partner and I are looking for a workspace in the area (i'm a producer and he is an artist). There aren't many spots available in the area at the moment so trying to think out of the box. If anyone has any other leads on reasonably priced spaces that could be used as a workspace, it would be much appreciated!

Hi Lyn I wondered if you have had any luck with buying and converting the loft space from Southwark Council? I'm interested in buying my loft space and am also living above a Council Tenant. We have old moldy water tanks in the loft that will need removing - Both flats have now been disconnected from the tanks so they are no longer in use. Many thanks
