  1. Yes, but the context is important and the reason.
  2. Saying one thing so everyone can understand, and something different that only select people can understand is not inclusive, it’s dangerous.
  3. Unfortunately while “being inclusive” can be a good thing, being blind to how that is being rolled out is naive. Greens, with Muslim deputy, and strategic voting are advocating open borders and no restrictions on benefits. Restore UK are advocating restrictions and reducing the number of illegal immigrants, and processes for asylum applications Everyone in the middle is seeking power using whatever means necessary.
  4. The country is in a real state. What worries me about the Greens is encouraging migration and openly offering benefits to all with visas. Where is the money for that coming from? As if there is spare money, as if there is growth. Where I their holistic manifesto, ensuring funds are available and this is sustainable, and regulated? Incredibly dangerous and idealistic
  5. Looking for a strong garden fork - happy to pay - happy if it's old and unused and sat in the shed
  6. I was driving past when the police were arriving. No sign of anyone hurt or ambulances.
  7. and when it's such a small increase, it doesn't really matter, does it.
  8. so to summarise, "Party X is stating that Council Y is financially inefficient and saving can be realised or efficiencies made, but when the exercise has been completed, it was found that no savings were achievable". I don't know if you are trying to say that has happened or that if it does happen, that is what would happen.
  9. Reform have not taken over Southwark council and reviewed the spend, so that's not helpful.
  10. In my experience of public sector funding, there is always room for improvement. That the council are custodians of our money, and are expected to use it wisely and efficiently seems to be lost on them. Just because no council has good financial acumen does not mean we should not insist on it, or should just accept all annual increases without question.
  11. Yes - adult care is a large part of the CT bill. That does not mean the council spend our money well or wisely.
  12. Why do Councils need more funding? What are they spending our money on, how efficiently are they running? are they performing an adequate service as is? Are they viewing the public with contempt, that we will continually foot larger bills to cover all and any costs? Do our counsellors do their best, for us? why are they adding this on to the residents, on top of tax already paid? Council tax is not insubstantial. The service provided is not great. I do not believe they use our money effectively. Our CT Bill is £50 a week.
  13. we actually had a couple of larger items to send back and got through via email - I can try and find it if you are still stuck?
