Ah you're right ... Bellenden Primary catchment should be OK, I was thinking the Belham.

Bellenden has a very small catchment area by now so you need to live pretty close to have a chance at getting a reception place!

I have used Nicola several times too. I can't recommend her enough.

Have a look at Bluestone in Wales - much cheaper and great for the kids

Haha, you beat us to it! We spent a lot of our weekends in Kent on the coast where we find and make Channel Rocks. My daughter has been itching to start Peckham Rocks. The only issue is ... there are not many rocks to be found in Peckham!! (Unless we start decorating building rubble / discarded bricks? :-) )

If you go on the Southwark website there is a full list of all registered childminders and nurseries so you won't have to rely on googling to find all of them.

If you're looking at the Villa you might also consider Sunshine Fruits on Havil Street. I appreciate it's low on outside space but they take the children out every day to either Brunswick Park or Lucas Gardens (which are a stone's throw away). It's a Montessori nursery which may or may not be up your street, but I love the fact the nursery is so light, airy, spacious and clean!

Camberwell Salvation Army also take donations during term time at their site on Lomond Grove. It's given to asylum seekers but also trafficked women.

I was surprised how much easier recovery was after an elective, compared to an EMCS. I guess it's personal how quickly you recover but I found I actually didn't need that much help. Not sure what I did with lifting toddler ... it's all a vague memory now!

Eos Dance does ballet lessons for 3 year olds where you leave them behind, it's only for 30 mins though!

I see other kids commuting on that line around this time. You wouldn't be able to get a seat probably, but there is enough standing room.

It's not like the train to Blackfriars where you have to fold yourself in to someone's armpit.

My daughter goes to Eos Dance on Bellenden Road, but they have other locations too.

Theatre Peckham also does ballet (and tap) classes.

I am happy to take on any boys shoes, depending on their size ... My boy is a size 6 now and I am due to buy some new shoes for him!

As an aside, I am not sure test results actually reflect the families' socio economic status. I have been looking at primary schools for my child to start primary school this September. I went to see three 'good' schools and they were the usual mix of all the different people that live here. I went to see one 'outstanding' school (a Harris school, on Peckham Road, not the one in ED) and I got the impression their intake is v challenging, a large proportion of children with behavioral, special needs etc, they get good test results because they manage all those challenges really well, and focus predominantly on the metrics that Ofsted focuses on. So yeah, anyway, my two cents.

My tan Storksak nappy bag has just been stolen off the back of the buggy in Peckham Rye Park. The thieves will be disappointed by their haul, unless they were really really peckish for some raisins or needed a nappy change. I assume they will dump the bag in the park. Can I get one to deliver the kids to school/nursery?

I am probably being paranoid here, but this morning there was a guy on a moped driving down Lyndhurst Grove, turning in to Shenley Road and back around on to Lyndhurst Grove, clearly checking out one of my neighbours leaving his property and getting in to his car. It was very obvious. My neighbour noticed it too and we both gave him a puzzled stare.

Also, when trying him on the bottle you don't *have* to use breastmilk, you could just use formula. Then if he doesn't take it it doesn't feel like such a waste, expressing on top of feeding a baby and trying him to take a bottle is such hard work. I know that technically he's less likely to take it if it's formula, but hey, if you're adamant he needs to accept a bottle, then he might as well also learn to accept formula! (He'll be fine, honest!)

At 6.5m he doesn't need to feed at night. The digestive system has matured sufficiently at this age that it shuts down during sleep (like with adults - we don't wake up hungry!). Nicola Watson (Child Sleep Solutions) helped me too to get my babies to sleep. She also had good information on feeding and nap routines.

You say you have been trying to get him on a bottle since six weeks. Weaning him off night feeds and getting him to sleep well, will already make a world of difference to you. If you want to stop breastfeeding you could either see if you can transition him straight to a cup, a sippy cup, a doidy cup or a straw whatever he takes, rather than a bottle. I used a nanny at the time to get mine to take a bottle. I used a lady called Annette, who I would recommend, but she is super busy. Otherwise she will have a recommendation for someone else. She spent the day with me and we only offered bottle for the day, whenever she got distressed we would soothe, distract etc, just before her lunchtime nap she took her first milk through the bottle, by the end of the day she took a bottle feed. You do have to be consistent though, offer a minimum of 2 bottle feeds a day (ideally more), preferably at the same times.

A lot of nurseries cater for children with special needs and often even give preference to children with special needs on their waiting lists. I suggest giving a few of your local nurseries a call to see what they can offer.

It's not 100% the LA's decision. The head teacher also has a say in it, but ultimately needs to take a decision 'in the best interest of the child'. If you join the FB group that devsdev recommends, there is a 'pinned section' (or whatever it's called) at the start which has all the relevant sections of the school admissions code in it. Apparently Southwark is pretty good in allowing it, but again the HT needs to be on board too.

We're looking at delaying as well.

One of my friends had a similar experience with the Camberwell Sexual Health clinic. I do believe she said it was possible to make an appointment though, if that is in fact possible, then that would be OK. At the moment I am sticking with option 1. :-)
