If they're really that bad they can be put in a clothing bin. There's one located near Dulwich Library, close to the Plough. I wouldn't be too hesitant to just give it to a charity though, all clothes that aren't on the shop floor usually go to Chris Carey's fabric recycling company. In fact charities still profit as they get money from filling the bags with bad/old/worn clothing.
