  1. We have now visited this restaurant several times and always have a brilliant evening. The restaurant is very pretty with exposed brickwork and mood lighting. Crisp white tablecloths and very comfortable pine chairs make for a stylish dining room. We are made to feel very welcome and it is interesting to see the chefs preparing dishes. It's a small, intimate restaurant but with a wonderful ambiance, service but most of all delicous cooking and great wines.

I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant. The level of cooking is excellent!

  2. No comparison: East Dulwich is infinitely better than Peckham and living proof that places can thrive without being connected to the Underground network. ED pulls in young families in their droves, attracted by one of the most interesting and varied shopping streets in south London and frequent rush-hour trains to London Bridge that take just 15 minutes. Add to the mix a much-needed new comprehensive school being built on the Dulwich Hospital site in East Dulwich Road and a new Picturehouse cinema in Lordship Lane, why would anyone prefer Peckham?

  4. Is anyone else fed up with the laptop squatters who continue to colonise East Dulwich cafes.

They sit for hours, spreading out so that they occupy several seats. They buy nothing and prevent genuine customers from enjoying a leisurely break.

    Top two offenders:

    1. The really irritating, smug hipsters in the excellent Brickhouse Cafe.

    2. The less smug, but equally numerous, laptop squatters in Caff? Nero.

    Please move on, you're selfish!

    Does anyone agree with me?

  5. There are some great examples of fantastic street art around East Dulwich.

Unfortunately, talentless imbeciles have recently taken to gratuitously spoiling some of them with paint spray. 😒

If anyone catches one of these imbeciles in action, please could you stick their aerosol canister where the sun don't shine! Thank you.

  7. Subway will be good for the ever-increasing band of selfish, laptop squatters in East Dulwich - they generally don't eat anything at the venues that they occupy, so they could all congregate in Subway ..... and still stay healthy!

PS the added bonus would be that they wouldn't irritate the rest of us who actually enjoy purchasing food and drinks in Lordship Lane, rather than using commercial outlets as a 'free good'.
