  2. Hey everyone

I am sooo excited that i just passed my driving test today!!! I started to learn to drive around 12 months ago when i found out i was pregnant. I had a few awful AA instructors and passing my test felt like a impossible mission!! So thankfully i call The AA and changed, they then sent me John who was has been really really great!!!!

I just wanted to sing his praises as i am soooo happy that i have passed!! He has been such a fantastic tutor and weirdly enough i will miss his lessons as i really enjoyed them!

I have recommended John to a few friends, and they have all passed before me as they did not have the break that i did due to being pregnant.

If you are looking to learn to drive i cannot recommend John enough, you can book direct by calling him even though he is a AA driving instructor.

Here is his number 07957 819872

    You wont regret it!!!

  5. Ok ladies i am going to have a T&C (TEA AND CAKE) afternoon at my place, unfortunately my place only has room for around 5 mums & babies. So pls get in touch asap to reserve a spot on my sofa ;)

    BEAUTY, BAKIN' & BABIES

    at Jennys

    August 2nd at 2pm

I am confirming a beautician to come along and offer treatments, so please only come along if you fancy having your

nails painted or eyebrows waxed. I thought this would be a good idea as us mums rarely have time for these kind of treats

Pls feel free to bring a cake, no need to bake it as long as it tastes good!

There will be more Mothers-meetings to come!

And pls have a look at the website i run for creative/inspiring mums

  7. Ok so my baby is now 8 months old and I have got to the point where I really cannot bring myself to spend another 30 quid a week on coffee and cake - especially when so many coffees are not warm enough and the cake is dry.

So I've decided to get a few mums together and have tea/coffee and cake at my place. I know this is random and it seems strange to invite strangers around for a afternoon. But this is the kinda crazy thing motherhood drives you too!

If you fancy tea, cake and meeting some new mums. Drop me a mail and I'll arrange a date.

    Jenny

And just incase you think I'm crazy - check out my website, hopefully this will confirm I'm a normal mum who's a graphic designer not a nutcase.

  8. Finding a nursery is not a easy job for any parent, and i know everyone has their own ideas of what is good and what is just awful!

I was wondering what your thoughts are regarding the best nurseries in the area and why? I am sure alot of mums out there will find the feedback on this list very interesting and useful.

look forward to hearing your thoughts.

  9. I have been wanting to attend the Stay + Play session at the Albrighton Centre for a while now but been too busy.

Thankfully i have tomorrow free and would love to go, but i am sure that i read somewhere that it is either the last one tomorrow or it was the last one last week (as it is the summer holidays). Can someone pls let me know if it is happening tomorrow or not?? And if not is anything else on??

    Thanks

  10. So my peacefully sleeping bundle of beauty has turned into a hyper, inquisitive, crawling little bugger.

I had a coffee with a friend today and it wss quite clear that the days of sitting around sipping coffee have gone. I am now looking for a Places/clubs/classes to attend that have toys and space to crawl.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions please let me know!! I am getting desperate.

    Thanks

  11. just wondering what classes/activities etc was on today??? I was thinking of swimming in Peckham pool or maybe just a walk around the park. It's such a nice day and a shame not to do anything. I am not fancying a trip into Central London though. If you fancy meeting up for a walk/swim etc lets meet up ( i never expected that motherhood would turn into a online dating kinda thing haha!! )

  14. Yes I agree there's 2 types of dirt! The temporary and the ingrained filth! This is not being over protective this is just having hygiene standards ( which clearly some of you don't )

Yes i want my child to have fun and caring attention. But I'm pretty sure he can have that without rollin around on filthy carpet! Have you seen the kitchen at Mother Goose, Uplands??? I'd prefer to cook on a camping stove in the garden.

Oh and the love and care did not look so evident by the way each Childs progress folder ( a minging old ring binder ) was chucked in the corner oh the room. Where is the care and love when looking after their reports???
