The P4 has to be the most sometimeish bus in the area. I'd love if the route went via Brixton after the West Dulwich stop e.g. Herne Hill - Brixton - Clapham Common - Clapham Junction

Could East Dulwich or Forest Hill work? Some properties on Underhill Road and Wood Vale have large gardens e.g. https://www.rightmove.co.uk/properties/161079866#/?channel=RES_BUY You'd be close to the Horniman, Dulwich Park and Peckham Rye. Transport might not be what you're looking for though e.g. a 15 minute walk to Forest Hill station for the East London line or mainline into London Bridge.

I assumed that the noise was from Heathrow planes - until the power outage in March that brought everything to a standstill. I still heard plane noise during that time - seems like it's City Airport planes. I wonder whether flight times and patterns can be adapted during the early hours before 6am to minimise noise pollution (e.g. slightly later times and not flying so low).

@Sue Good to know acoustic glazing makes a difference!

I live close to there and am considering acoustic glazing due to both the plane and vehicle noise. I've already had a quote for secondary glazing. I am a very light sleeper though! I've walked back home at night from there but prefer to take routes that are better lit when it's dark and not many people are about.
